We are 2 - 1 and we started the year last year at 0 - 5.

A defense that only allows 6 points on the road is pretty dang good. That's something to be happy about. The offense struggled on the road, yes. All we can do is hope it gets better.
Our passing game is struggling largely because we do not have time to throw the ball deep, nor do we have our jump-ball WR healthy (Edwards) to throw deep to. When the field is cut to small area that you can throw.. it's VERY hard to be effective passing.. Our OL is the biggest hindrance to our offense right now. No movement up front for the running game, and not enough time to call deeper routes.

This is true BUT I'm still have trouble finding a silver lining. This win did little to inspire me. If we don't start spreading the ball around on offense our players with become disgruntled and lose interest. I'm real disappointed thus far. I'm not buying any tickets or 49er memorabilia this year, Jed.

Would you rather be 2 - 1 or 0 - 5?...

Yeah, this winning record thing really has me down.

It was an ugly game...no doubt about that. But, after looking hopeless in the 1st half, the offense did the job when it counted. Great to see the Alex to Vernon connection alive and well again...maybe the meeting VD had with Coach did some good. Also happy to see Harbaugh pull Rachal for Snyder, Reggie Smith for Whitner and Spencer for T. Brown. If guys aren't getting it done, put their butts on the bench and let someone else get a shot. I think most Niner fans have been wishing for Snyder over Rachal at RG for the last couple of seasons. Harbaugh showed he's not afraid to make changes...or, as he calls them, improvements. Whatever you want to call it, we're 2-1. Much tougher opponent next week in Philly...got to get the running game going and if Gore isn't getting it done, then Hunter's the man. It's on the OL, too, but getting Rachal on the bench is a step in the right direction.

How does the win not inspire you? We did exactly what we couldn't do last week, we closed out a game..!
How can you be disappointed with 2-1? This isn't college football. Winning big means nothing here.

It seems like some "fans" are stuck in complain mode. As the team is undeniably progressing, we'll have to see what the complaints retreat to
