Where was Soap in the second half?
Haven't had a chance to see the game again, but I noticed RJF in at nose alot in the 2nd half....and no Sopoaga on the field. Did he get hurt? It didn't seem to me to be simply DL rotation, because J.Smith and R.McDonald were on the field a ton.
Also, in the first half, our DL seemed to dominate the line of scrimmage. In the second half, again, with RJF in there alot, it seemd Lynch was getting ~4 ypc. So....where's Isaac?

Didn't hear anything, but Soap was probably pedestrian like he has been most of his career. I want to see RJF get more PT.

He was probably tired, seattle was gettnig up to the line fast in the 2nd half, and had a much quicker tempo.

they rotate guys in and out on the D-line. not sure if they do that more in the second half than the first, but I noticed RJF and Tukuafu then but not in the first.
Soap did well. Front 7 was outstanding in the first half.
I'm told that Ice plays more in run situations and RJF is a bit better in pass pressure.

Sopoaga was great. Clear drop-off when RJF came in, plus RJF took a penalty. Tukuafu and Ricky Jean were just subbed in from time to time to give others a breather.

I also noticed Sopoaga's absence in the second half. It did seem to be more of a substitution by RJF, than a rotation. If Sopoaga is nicked-up, I don't expect any indication of this by Harbaugh, given his attitude toward injury reports. Harbaugh only has to deliver his gambling declaration about injuries to the NFL on Friday. The beat writers need to note if Sopoaga practices on Wed and Thurs. I suspect that either Sopoaga got nicked-up, or that he had a conditioning issue. Of course, it could have been a rotaional substitution, where RJF simply performed better at NT, and was left in. With either NT in there, both Willis and Bowman were rock solid.

Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait and see; I hope this question gets asked. Because to me, if he wasn't injured, I think the substitution was a mistake. Our DL was dominate when he was in.

Seriously, i get that everybody is entitled to an opinion, but at least have some respect for it. Don't just post something for the sake of doing it.

Sopoaga did well in this game. I think they believe in RJF though, and are getting him valuable snaps to gain experience. They are grooming him, as Sopoaga is around 30 and his contract is up soon.

Sopoaga played on first and second downs, with RJF giving him a breather every third series.
The Seahawks came out with three wides in the second half, which is why Sopoaga was on the bench.
