Just remember....Nolan won his first game in a similar way, against the Rams in 2005. A bunch of our points came off special teams plays.

Good first win w/ LOTS of room to grow. O Turnovers and 0 Sacks is excellent. Playcalling was frustrating but I think we'll start to see noticeable progress every week.

How much faith do you have that they could have done that?
The point that I was making was that our playcalling may have been tailored to Seattle's relative lack of playmaking. Yes, we almost got burned by it, but I think the "make Seattle's offense beat you" strategy was sound. I don't think this is necessarily the strategy that we'll be employing against every team.

Offensive line did good job and so did Alex Smith. We just need to work on redzone offense as a team. A good first game of the season.

Of course, this game has shown, yet again, how limited Alex Smith is. He just cannot play outside the box, and he barely takes advantage of opportunities given to him. Some might cite that 20 pass plays might is not the ideal sample size to judge Alex on; hell, Im sure some his fans will even point out the 75% completion percentage and think he had a monster game, but comeon......the guy checks down even when he has time, and you can see the toll it took on his offensive players.
We eek out a win against Seattle..........next week might be a disaster.
We beat them by double their score, how did we eek out against them??
Did you watch the game ?

It's nuts, our pass-protection owned our run-blocking, we're in the f**king Twilight Zone!

Honestly, 98% of the complainers on the zone show me week in and week out that they have no real football knowledge and are only use to playing Madden (rookie skill setting of course) and think they are football gurus. The Seahawks are not as horrible as everyone makes them out to be, the team we are playing next week have just as many issues. The Cowboys have no offensive line, boo boo secondary, and sub-par running game. They play in NJ this week then have to fly back west next week. We get two back to back home games and plenty of time to prepare. I think we can beat them next week.

This win is fool's gold. Seattle does have a good run D, but there are better team with even better run Ds. Tell me something though...if you know Seattle has a good run D, is it smart strategy to keep running at that strength? Or it is Singletaryesque madness and insanity?
As I said before....we totally deserved to lose this game. Cowards don't deserve to win....and Harbaugh's game plan was just that, cowardly, no balls type stuff. He basically got bailed out by Ginn at the end, and while I give credit to Ginn, are we going to rely on miracles of that nature in every game?

Seattle has a very solid defense. Just ask the Saints. It doesn't surprise me our offense struggled against them. I think the O will get better as the coaches and players get more comfortable with the offense.

And there are always condescending posters like you who try to pretend that they know something that no one else can possibly know. Newflash: You probably don't know as much as you think.

Seattle has a surprisingly good defense, and they gameplan pretty well. Plus, they probably spend their whole offseason gameplanning against the 49ers.
How mella already knows that Seattle is one of the weakest teams in the league after week 1 is bizarre to me.

Harbaugh needs tot take a long hard look at the game tape and adjust the offense. Alex needs to be given some trust. Let him sling the ball around when the running game isnt working. Stupidity basically let the Seahawks have a chance to win the game.
