The 49ers defeated the Giants more often than not, but much of the time, they gave the great 49er teams a close game. Although, there were times when the 49ers defeated them handily. The 49ers kept them on their back foot, but somehow the games weren't the comfortable victories enjoyed against other teams. That was against Joe Montana's 49ers, so it would hardly be a surprise if he is effective in neutralizing any of the current teams. He probably spent many late nights through the prime years of his life trying to design a plan to limit the WCO and the 49ers. After all those years of battling the 49er dynasty juggernaut, if anyone would have a good strategy, it is probably him and Parcells.
The Pats don't have Lawrence Taylor!

They are worried about Rodgers? Peyton Manning will carve them up real nice if they play 4-3

does it really matter if they play 3-4 or 4-3 ? ...when Manning, Rivers or Rogers goes to their 3 & 4 WR Sets, they are going to be forced to use their nickel and dime packages anyway

Also the Panthers crushed the WCO niners when they came against ehm with a 3-4, so I doubt the writer knows for sure that this will make the Packers ineffective.

Why does it matter? Are we playing them in the Super Bowl?

There's been some subtle hints in the media that Haynesworth is not guaranteed a spot on the roster. Most likely, this is just Belichek being Belichek. All the same, I wonder if they continue the 4-3 "experiment" if Haynesworth goes. I'd guess so, considering they also picked up Carter from the Redskins.
This is all just a big Belichek smoke screen. They're actually going to run the permanent nickel.
