the two most overrated teams. we could easily be 5-1. of course, that all depends on alex smith.

Actually it would be pretty sad to boo in the pre season.
Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong thread, but for you folks that don't live in the local area (or have sunday ticket), how do you watch the game (on the net)?

We looked just as bad as tampa and as far as I can remember the whipped our asses last year. Also The cowboys have a decent qb which we don't. Seattle is a toss up. If the Lions have their qb healthy, they beat us i think.

Seattle game is winnable, the Lions will beat us because we suck on the road and their Dline is good.

2-4 is the best I can see us by the bye week.

Seahawks - W - We win this game. Alex has a decent performance. Zone goes crazy and talks contract extensions dood.

Cowboys - W - We shock everyone and pull away with a close win. Zone goes bonkers again and despite an ugly win..people just hit reply and say, "2-0, lol")

@Bengals (toss up) - L - Lay an egg in Cincy. Clements picks Alex off twice. Zoners scream for Alex to be benched. Or we win and we start year 3-0 and everyone rides nuts. THEN we implode, lol.

@Eagles - L - After an 0-3 start, the "Dream Team" Eagles get their first win against us and go 13-3 and win the SB. Lulz

Buccaneers - W - We have a good game and pull off a decent win.
@Lions - L - Lions are underrated. We lose a heart breaker.

BYE (3-3 or 4-2 at the bye. Jobs are safe).

Browns - L - Come back after bye and put up a decent performance against the s**t Browns but come up short. Zoners say we must trade 3- 1st round picks for Colt McCoy.

@Redskins - W - Finally get our first road win thanks to the defense.

Giants (toss up) - L - Get shat on at home. No bueno.

Cardinals (toss up) - L - Get pwned by Kolb at home. Fans boo the s**t out of Alex. Callers and zoners foam at mouth.

@Ravens - L - John beats Jim. "We got teh rong Hahrbaw dood."

Rams - W - Defense pulls off a win. Alex plays well under threat of being benched.

@Cardinals - W - Beat Cards on their own turf.

Steelers - L - It's the Steelers. We suxorz.

@Seahawks - W - Homer pick. We sweep the 'Hawks.

@Rams (toss up) - L - Lose to Lambs. Close game.

7-9 - Realistic
5-11 - Worst Case (Getting swept by a division opponent, losing road games and another random game).

9-7 - Best Case (sweeping the Cards, and Rams OR beating the Giants and Bengals).

Trying to find more wins but it's tough. We HAVE to start the year strong. People keep saying we'll start slow but I think we'll surprise people and actually START well and fizzle out because we play better teams later on.

Agreed that fairley+suh are going to rape davis/rachal and our QB's...There's just no getting around that even if staley/iupati can manage to take one of them. If alex gets hurt this season, it's probably going to be because of that game.

2-4 is an ok betting prediction, when you figure that many games are still going to be close, it's the nfl afterall and there is a reason they play the games. You never know what's going to happen really. Eagles have an amazing team for example, but by the end of the year teams were already figuring vick out. Their defense will make it a low scoring game, but hopefully ours will too(sacking vick a dozen times should do it). Cowboys will be incredibly hard now that romo's back, but we had some close games against saints and falcons last year(we still lost but hey they weren't blowouts). Bucs shut us out last year but we can keep that one close as well if we play a relatively mistake/turnover free game like they did.

Ok most of those teams probably will steamroll us minus the two easy games. But I think we can at least keep most of them close games with our defense/improved pass rush. If the o-line can protect the qb maybe we'll even win one or two you didn't think we'd win.

Giants, ravens, and steelers are the only teams after the bye that we have realistically no chance against aside from some sort of miracle. I'm glad the end of our season is heavily weighed upon how well we do against our division, because most of our division is against at least "winnable" teams.

Browns= Mccoy looks good but he's never been more than a 100 yd/game guy... this game is still very winnable, so long as we can stop hillis with a defense that's emphasizing defending the pass first.
Redskins= average defense, mediocre run game and grossman/beck, very winnable.

Then cards twice, rams twice, and one more in seattle. That's 7 winnable games after the bye, 3 pretty definite losses.
While the first 6 games consist of 2 absolutely winnable games, one sorta-winnable-but-not-really game in the Lions, and 3 incredibly hard teams.

So in total, 9 games we definitely have a shot at winning(6 of which are in the division), and plenty of games that could be upsets.

I really don't see how people think we can tank this season, at worst we get half the wins in our division(3) and beat the bengals, skins, and browns for 6 wins. Then it only takes 2 "upsets" to make the playoffs in this division lol.
man I usually dont care about pre-season games but we better beat the Raiders. I hate when they come in our house. I would love for us to win and play a whole lot better than last week.
No way we lose to the bengals lamda, I forbid it
