No chance at a better replacement via free agency with richard marshall and chris carr both gone.
imo antonio cromartie will resign with the jets, I dont see why he'd turn down a chance at a ring to sign with us unless he's bitter about taking the backseat to nnamdi via his agent and his team.
maybe we hop in the asante samuel trade talks? Or go after another starter via trade, because the current group will have major problems if they had to start the year.
Thoughts?

I don't know what other team is willing to trade other than maybe the pats or eagles.
either team will rape us.

Be patient. 85 year-old Walt Harris is coming back.

Yeh of course it is an option. The only issue is the staff doesnt know what they have in the players they have on the field. At this point it would be pointless do trade for anyone let alone bring in a free agent. Some of these guys dont fit the system Fangio wants to run. Gotta be patient

I honestly can't think of any trade value that we may have. Enlighten me on who you think would better our team. I'm all for ideas.

makes sense, but I would think player familiarty wouldnt mean anything in free agency, JH's staff doesnt know any of them, so why not add proven players to the mix and get to know them all? At this point the only thing thats left on defense in FA is no better than what we have, so the nnamdi gamble looks like a big mistake.

At first I was in favor of trading for Samuel, but I've changed my mind. We should scrounge the FA market for a corner and take our lumps this year. Save our draft picks to draft a corner in the 1st or 2nd round next year.

100% agreed.
More so than anything, in retrospect, beating Zona senseless in weak 17 and watching them take Peterson with what would have been our pick really friggin stings. Hopefully he's a bust or Aldon blows up, b/c right now, boy, that hurts.

Oh, 100% agreed. I argued vehemently with the folks here who wanted us to tank that game. I still wouldn't change anything. That said, I can also admit that it stings a little bit.

What stings more is them not getting there hands on a FA CB. With the pass rush going to worse then last years its not going to be pretty. Just the thought of Tarvaris Jackson lighting up this secondary is making me sick
