Safety reasons aside this is not the type of thing you put veteran professionals through with regularity when you don't need to. Nothing but extra wear and tear on their bodies is accomplished. Instilling toughness in players should be done by the time they reach the NFL, if anything this type of drill should be reserved for rookies if it really is all about "teaching the importance of leverage" as Sing put it.
