If we start Kilgore and he performs as well, then we have Chilo and Kilgore who will be eyeing that starter money. It's not a good financial move if the players are fairly equal in value.

so we keep the better guy on the bench?

The best 5 will player, end of story.

"if the players are fairly equal in value." If they can produce similar results, then there's no need to start Kilgore. We can trade Chilo or bump Kilgore up when needed like an OL factory.

we have 3 first rounders and 1 second rounder on the line currently, none of which have made the probowl...that's very bad

iupati is young and should make the pro bowl very soon, possibly this year if the run game is good. Davis is still way too young to judge and Chilo just flat out sucks.

and Staley who has not been healthy...we have a lot of money invested and the return hasn't been great so far
Chilo is a wimp and Kilgore is a beast. Enough said.
Kilgore is gonna destroy whoever faces him. the guy is just a damn beast

he's been playing LG in the preseaon right? Why not move him to RG?

cant wait for Kilgore to take his spot
I remember everyone whining on draft day when we moved up to draft him. Looks like he might develop into a good player...so far this draft class looks legit. But only time will tell.

Kilgore looked very good against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Perhaps we will also see him against 1st string yet this PS. He certainly has not given us anything not to like.

I also find it interesting that when Harbaugh saw how badly the OL got abused against NO while using a lot of man blocking schemes, he switched to zone blocking for much of the Raider game and Rachal, along with the rest of the OL, played VERY well against a very good Oakland DL. Isn't it interesting when players that we thought we junk while playing for a bad coach, suddenly begin to do well for a good coach? hmmmmmmm
