Angriest man on the team from day one. That's all people write about this guy, he's fiery, competitive, hard-working and filled with piss and vinegar. Nice to have a few of those guys around.

We got a top 25 guard! WAY TO GO! ....Oh wait top 25 only sounds good in college basketball & football... Damn!

Experience on the inside and at tackle? Good shot at making the team.
Position: G
Class: 5Sr
School: Appalachian State
Conference: Southern
HT: 6-3.5
WT: 308
40 Time: 5.28

Biography: All-Conference and All-American recipient as a senior when he started at guard and tackle. Suffered an ankle injury prior to his junior campaign and was shuffled in and out of the starting lineup. Started 14 games at right guard as a sophomore.

Positives: "Nasty small-area blocker who attacks assignments. Quick off the snap, sets with a wide base, and bends his knees. Gets underneath opponents, jolts them with terrific pop at the point of attack, and blocks with great leverage. Powerful and finishes run blocks. Keeps his feet moving, turns defenders off the line, and attacks assignments. Plays with great quickness and explosiveness."

Negatives: "Lacks the height, agility, and footwork to stay at the left tackle spot. Must do a better job getting his hands into defenders and extending them. Must improve his overall blocking balance."

Analysis: Kilgore impressed scouts as a senior with his approach to the game and competitiveness. He's better off in confined quarters and will have a future in the NFL if he improves the details of his position and learns the block with consistent balance.

Projection: 6th

Hey at least its not Chilo in the top of the 2nd, at the very least he might light a fire under his ass. Might even become a decent center, but again another project type player.
Nice pick up.

You're one of the few poster's who's excited about the pick. Why and what do you like about him?

Hahaha! The highlights they showed of him was when he played against Montana when we whooped App State's ass in the playoffs. Loser!

Hopefully a good pick though! lol

You might think of Kilgore -- 6-3, 305 -- as Baas/Heitmann insurance. He played center in high school and says the 49ers are eying him there
