He had no problem stabbing multiple players in the back, I don't see why he wouldn't do it to the organization.

Speaking for myself, I don't believe that it happened the way Florio says because he doesn't offer anything beyond anonymous sources.
I think that the Browns probably did inquire about Harbaugh, and the FO passed along the message because it's Harbaugh's decision to make. He probably laughed it off and then somehow it gets reported that Cleveland was close to landing him.
Also, it's Mike Florio. It's far easier to count the amount of "confirmed reports" he's gotten wrong than those he got right. In terms of credibility, I'd rank him maybe a smidgen above The National Enquirer.

We'll never know what did or didn't happen but when another team calls you have to listen. A good president and GM should never hang up without listening to what could be an incredible offer. This is a business and if you're feelings are hurt get over it. I also find it really funny that Baalke and Harbaugh can't get along. Hey guys both of you are making millions grow the hell up and be professionals.

Chris Mortensen-Jim Harbaugh is a lock to be the next coach of the Miami Dolphins, press conference will announce signing today.

I love Jim as a coach, but I believe nothing that comes out of his mouth...except that in some way he believes whatever he does say will help him.
That doesn't mean all this browns stuff did or didn't happen...just that I don't trust Jim as a source.

Shocking coming from you. Another susweel and SanDiego clone.
whatever dude. I LIKE JH A LOT! I LIKE Baalke too. There has to be some truth to this story or why would it have even been reported? Mortensen is a VERY CREDIBLE source and has been for a LONG TIME. What I personally feel is that the Browns approached the 49ers about a trade But the 49ers REJECTED it. But for you to call me a troll is way off base. I love what Harbaugh and Baalke have DONE with this team and will continue to do in the Future. But I also feel there might be some kind of rift over player personnel descisions too. It happens all the time between coaches and GMs.

The only way this makes sense is if the 49ers believe Harbaugh doesn't have interest in staying in San Fran long-term. Otherwise, why would they trade him away? Look at what he's done for this franchise. You're telling me they'd give that up for a few draft picks? Harbaugh WILL be an elite coach. The draft picks POSSIBY pan out. Story sounds like nonsense to me.

Its just not Florio, Mortenson and Schefter are now both confirming. Like I said, of course the 49ers are going to deny almost trading away one of the best coaches in football but this story isnt fabricated.

If the Browns approached the 49ers and the 49ers rejected it, how is that evidence of a "rift" between Baalke and Harbaugh? Any team can call up any other team about a player or coach and make an offer at any time, how does that reflect on the other team in anyways?
If the 49ers call up the Vikings and offer LaMichael James for Adrian Peterson and the Vikings laugh them off the phone, does that mean the Vikings were in "serious discussions" to trade Peterson?

Schefter reported it to be true as well. Hell, even the Browns new coach Pettine knows its true. But only in here, where this place is full of denial, it didnt almost go through.

To my knowledge, Schefter (whom I'd believe over both those other clowns) stated that an inquiry took place. Not that it was close to actually happening. Feel free to direct me to where he's said anything different (no sarcasm intended).
