Does Candlestick Park have an abnormal amoun of Old fans?

That "NIIIIIIIIIINNNNERRRSSS" chant is the most rediculously annoying chant ever. It sounds more like you are mocking the team than really cheering for them. If you are at a SF Giants or Oakland A's game do you say "GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIANNNNTS" or "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS". No. You say "Lets go GI-ANTS". Or "Lets go OAK-LAND".

These sound more like you are supporting the team and much less annoying.

How about, "Lets go NI-NERS"? Instead of sounding like a 2 year old trying to sound out their 1st word.

Because I will say this, i'm not that Old, but I dont remember one time, even when we went 2-14, where fans actually booed one player, and called for another in a primetime televised game. That showing that day, let me know that we are definitely away from the fans of old.

In my opinion this new class of fan, disses, disrespects, and only care about their own opinion. And throw away any rational thought that objects to their way of thinking.

So overall, no, not by any means of abnormal old fans. If anything I think its the fans of old, that still hold the niner pride true, no matter how bad things get. We used to have the motto ride or die with a niner. And that was the motto. Now it's like ride or die with a particular player, and if that doesnt work, then boo, and all that other crazy s**t.

Your post is a JOKE!!
I've been attending the games since 1977 ( I'm old school) and I've seen fans boo the team during the pre-Walsh days, 1994 Eagles game and the 1999 Steelers game. So don't act like this is something new that a player gets booed! You're making a blanket statement as if you're a season ticket holder or something.

Truth is you're a bitter Alex fan whose feelings were hurt when frustrated Niner fans were calling for his head when the Idiot fumbled the ball for a TD.

Aaah new guy. Or old guy with a new name. Well hmm lets see if i can keep this nice.

1. Your response is aJOKE and u know why, i highlighted where i said one player, and u talking about the team. *So ur response started off talkin about the wrong thing, but thats comes with age so it's cool.*All that u said, and i'll be damned if your not on Alex's nutz. U know the funny thing is, u called me a bitter fan, when its more of people that dont like the kid, that bring him up more than those that may like the kid. So thats for starters. And I am on the team's train, not just one player, as i see maybe u are still.

2. Season ticketholder (seriously).... Put the Geritol down brotha, since ur mind may be playing tricks on you. I mean i live in jersey, or maybe u thought that was just a name on my profile and not a state. So why would i buy season tickets if i live in jersey.

3. Just because u may be a ticket holder for the season, doesnt make u any more of a die hard fan than me. Even tho i cant be at the game. Im watching online, listening on the computer, or how it was in the early 80's, and when u only caught the games on TV when they showed them, and looked in the newspaper for the stats when i couldnt watch the games.

4. If anything its the newer fans with the new class of antics. You can't tell me one year, where before this one, when we had a QB we didnt like, and actually called it out on national tv, then the replacement stunk it up more than the first guy did. (But if we did, then father time it was before I was born, so i wouldnt even remember..)

5. Ur talking about pre-walsh, when we really had done nothing yet, and the WCO wasnt our specialty. See what i mean about the old age. Who cares about before we started winning championships. Tell me about during or after the Walsh era besides this year, when we BOOED ONE PLAYER, CHANTED another's name, and he did worse than the first.

So overall, to be a little older than myself I thought u would of come back with something more productive to say. Maybe u will next time, and if not, make sure u get plenty of rest before u type back, i dont want u to exert too much energy into a snappy comeback.

And u know what, u are an old fan. So maybe after talking to you, I will say HELL YEAH, it just may be the abnormal old fans.

Aaaah! You MAD? A little defensive? Well let’s see if I can decipher some of this babble you’re displaying!

First of all I know you’re talking about one player. The one I’m calling you out on…..Alex Smith! You’re a “Young” bitter fan of his whose panties are in a bunch because us fans at the Stick called for his head. This is the reason you made your post.

I feel IMO you (I’m fully aware you’re from New Jersey) have no creditability to make statements toward me (yes I take it personal) and the fans at the games opposed to me who attends 4-6 games a year since 1977 about the mentality of the fans based on how poor lil Alex has been treated.

I pointed out that Alex has not been the only player to be treated this way. For example I was at the Eagles game in 1994 (post Walsh era I may add) where we lost 40-8 and fans booed Steve Young off the field. That year we won our last Superbowl.

Another example a playoff game against Dallas (again post Walsh) Elvis Garbac throws a costly interception for a TD after we just caused a turnover. At that time he was showered with boos. In fact Willie Brown who was Mayor of S.F at the time ripped him in the Media.

So excuse me when a NEWBIE fan in New Jersey, (New Zealand whatever), makes statements about my conduct at a game regarding a mediocre player like Alex Smith (yes I was one of those fans that booed him) and I can’t fight the urge to call you out on it.

Point is this has gone on in the Bay Area longer than your precious Alex has been alive! Warrior fans remember J.B Carroll and Mike Dunleavy Jr. Giants fans remember Jonnie LeMaster. Alex is not the first or the last to be highly criticized for his play or lack thereof.

What is a mystery for me is the standards we have today as far as QB play for this team is concerned. The Atlanta game last season I was calling for Shaun Hill’s head. Did you? The Philly game this year I was calling for Alex’s head. Did you? I bet you did for the formal and not the latter because Alex fans have this double standard that no other QB not named Alex Smith will get second chances!

By the way I’m 44 “MY BROTHA” LMAO!! I’m fortunate enough to be around for all the glory years. So when I see a first overall pick not live up to MY expectations I’m going to boo, curse and complain like I have with any other Niner player that wore the uniform!

Now if you will excuse me I have to take my Levitra I have a date tonight!

LMAO, go take that Levitra, lol. And i got no problem with u brotha. This is all s**ts and giggles.

But besides that as i said brotha, u still focusing on just Smith. We had tons of other problems and thats what your not talking about. Smith was DEFINITELY A PART OF THE PROBLEM. So im with you on that, dont even deny.

However, so far in u writing back, the main statement was about abnormal old fans. Why i dont think ur abnormal, lmao, it does show that your a little blinded by not liking one player. And ur one of the ones that booed, well i cant fault you for that, but just like i said earlier, like our NEW HC, "It;s not just all about Alex."

I hated when a WR dropped a catchable ball, or the WR pulled back on the route, or we ran the same running plays after down by 20. Or when Chilo and a few others kept getting lit up, and run over. OR when we need a key stop on defense to end the game. See what I mean, i had no problem with the booing because of mediocre managment, but i still think it was classless to boo him, and chant for Carr. REgardless if people said it was because they just didnt want Smith.

But see now u got me focusing on Smith. SEe what i mean it's like damn, im tryna talk about the team, and we go from that to focusing on Smith.

Damn i cant wait till we get a QB and just stop all the assuming whats gonna happen.

Enjoy ur date brotha.
