Is it a secret identity? I guess Clark Kent. He's the man behind the S.

I think the Niners are going to look a lot like the Packers currently do in a few years. Both HC's run a WCO. I think Harbaughs will emphasize the run a bit more than McCarthy's. Dom Capers and Vic Fangio are close and have very similar ideals in regard to the 3-4.

Maybe the only reason Harbaugh used a run first system at Stanford was b/c they COULD RUN AT WILL. He sort of had the same vision as Sing, but he could actually gameplan for it and pull it off.
Since he said that he will use the offense that fits our strengths, I'm guessing he will not run as much as he did at Stanford...We all know that it doesn't work in the NFL anymore.
I'd be happy with an offense similar to the Giants, Packers or Broncos under Shanny.

I'd like to see how Harbaugh would use the TE that we have. Other coaches that were here talked about having D. Walker and V.Davis as intrigue match ups against the defense but that was all it was... talk. Under utilized tightends.

It's awesome that VD is under-utilized and he still puts up the numbers he does

I hope he's smart enough to realize that this mentality won't work so well in the NFL. We've all witnessed it for the past 6 years.
He runs a WCO "Power" set.
He uses multiple 2 TE sets, and uses movement & the pass to set up the run.
Watch the Orange bowl...almost every big pass play was run out of a power set. It was a thing of beauty.

I was watching it last night. GB VS. ATL. Remember a few years ago when ppl were saying that the WCO has become outdated? I pretty sure McKahlua and Nowin were selling that shizzz too.

One of my biggest complaints with singletary and nolan was their attempt to build an identity...
I dont think you can try and make an identity. I think you gotta build your team, identify its strengths and let the "Identity" show itself.

I cant agree with you on that, it does work if you know how to use it, singletary OVERUSED IT, if you look at the Pitts offense they like to use the Power Run and they do it well, look where they are now.. if your offense is predictable like our old offense it wont work, but if you know how to utilize it it'll work because it sets up the play action. I have faith in harbaugh he's smart enough.
