tell him to move to safety or bounce. Then bring in Mays on passing downs, move Clements to nickle back.

Clements' career in the NFL will be better than most if he switches full time to cover the slot receiver. This would maximize his strengths which is covering the shorter routes and being in prime position to shoot the LOS or blitz the QB.
We need to make two moves to solidify the secondary.
1. Acquire a better FS
2. Move Brown to CB

explain that one to me plz? You always have good insight and thoughts. I just don't trust any of them in coverage. None of them make any plays in the passing game unless they are playing the Cardinals. The biggest play out of the entire unit was Mays recovering a blocked punt.

The fact that we repeatedly got burned by flea flickers and play actions points directly to the lack of awareness by the Safeties.

How about moving Nate Clements to safety and reducing his salary? Then picking up free agents Aso from Raiders and Champ Bailey for a low based, incentive laden contract.
BTW, isn't Shawn Merriman available? He could def help our secondary!!

But he hasn't shown any ability to settle and make a play on the deep ball. He has shown to bite on just about anything and he would be giving up a lot of big plays.
Nate is a slot CB at best.
