yes. only because it will ensure we lose and will display Nate's natural ability.
I love your optimism
We need to lose this game. Really, what's the point in winning?? To give the Cards a better draft pick?
And we have done so well with our high draft picks....
Well Minus Alex Smith and Kentwan Balmer the 49ers have done fairly well in the first round. Now the lower rounds of the past drafts leave a lot to the imagination. Hence the 49ers going after a real GM.
not to mention the head coaching/ general manager position is that more appealing if we have a top 5 draft pick, especially with the top heavy talent we already have. We have arugably the 2 best at their positions in willis and davis. Weapons of offense in gore, crabtree, walker and morgan. Some talent on the offensive line, and two rookies who hopefully have gotten experience and will only get better. A solid defense that IMO is getting older and with a lot of guys that may not be back next season due to the fact that their contracts are up (lawson, goldson, franklin, spikes) or that will not be back due to their conract in clements.
This job, despite what many people think will be one of the best available IF Jed shows he is willing to restructure the organization by hiring an experienced GM to handle player/personnel deciisons. Judging from what Jed said yesterday it looks like he is going about it the right way. The most important thing is that he finds an experienced GM asap.
