I really wonder about Nate at safety. His skill set screams safety, but take a closer look at how he plays corner and it's easy to see a serious problem with him at safety.
Nate already plays so much zone as a corner that at times, it just seems like he can't help himself and he makes huge gambles on the ball. Knowing what we know about him already, you have to wonder if he's even disciplined enough to play safety, where you know he'll constantly have his eyes in the backfield and will be often tempted. Good QB's love safeties like that. He truly will be the last line of defense and his mistakes will
cost us 6.
Everybody's capable of better if they're willing to admit their own shortcomings, so I'm not going to condemn the guy for his past performances, but he'll have to be better if he wants to play either position for the 9ers next year...and that contract is waaaay outta whack lol! He's gonna have to rework that. I don't really have a stance on whether he plays one position or the other; just brain fodder.
