The following teams will beat the Niners no matter where the game is played. Were gonna get one of them in the first rd (if we make the playoffs). Does it matter how wide their eventual margin of victory is?
Saints,
Giants
Eagles
Packers
Let's get really crazy and assume the Niners make it all the way to the Superbowl. What do you think the Steelers or Patriots would do to our pathetic 5-9 squad?
The point I was making and I thought it was obvious is that we had to play our WORST football in order for the top teams to put us away in the last seconds of the game so I don't think any of those teams will come into San Fran wildcard weekend and embarrass us as long as we don't just give them the game.

Well, you were making that point because you're smart.
If we make it to the playoffs, we're better than I think we are.
That means we're capable of putting up a fight at home.
I don't think we'll make the playoffs.
Wait... who did I just agree with?

The Niners need to end up with say the 8th pick. Then trade whatever it takes to move up and get a qb like Andrew Luck.
The guy upon whose nuts the cal fans are firmly locked was drafted 21st in the 2005 draft, and that was a piss poor draft for QB's.

The long nightmare, of bigmike, aka BM, aKA bowel movement mike, aka el bobo, is over. He has wrought enough damage for 6 HCs, and has managed to demoralize this team from start to finish, never imparting any useful coaching tips other than to LBs, where he is an expert. Everywhere else he failed, and brought this team to its lowest point ever. HE is gone, he is over, and we are freed. just hope jed has enough brains to hire a HOFO, head of football ops, eg., Parcells, to help pick a GM, HC. Left on his own, jed's track record is he will do the wrong thing and we will be screwed yet again. I hope mama or dada step in and recommend to young jed that he needs at least one adult in the decision making chain, which right now has nobody there. We need a HOFO to help get mgmt set, and go from there. Jed picking a HC or GM is poison for us. I hope he defers to a HOFO, but wouldn't bet any money on it.

First the Sharks dump Nabokov, then the Warriors' ownership changes and declares their intention to win, then the Giants win the WS, and now Jed is starting to sound like Eddie D. This might be a historic year for Bay Area sports.

As stated before, not silly talk, happy talk. It is already pressuring Jed to search for a GM.
Cheers.
