My 4 best players have taken a nose dive.
Gore out of course
Orton and Lloyd have been rendered useless the past two weeks
Greg Jennings most likely without Rodgers this weekend.
I can't believe you actually would start smith b/c you are a fan you should know the guy stinks.
Gore getting hurt killed my fantasy team too.
The Yorks taking over this team killed my fantasy and my expectations. Now I don't feel like I have to watch them on Sundays if I have something better to do.
Oh, and I have been watching them and being a fan for over 35 years.

I arranged for my wife to go shopping with our daughter, so they would not interfere with our game watching. Before they left I witnessed the Niners scoring a field goal, taking the penalty for leverage (right call), watched them not go for the end zone passing, go for it on fourth and inches, and call a play that got stuffed 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Watched Brooks drop an interception that had TD written all over it. Watched the wrong Smith get ejected (Justin not Alex). At that point I actually chose to go shopping over watching the niners. I HATE shopping but I also HATE watching an undisciplined unprepared team.
I called my son in the 4th quarter praying that the Niners pulled ahead and my small act of not watching the game would be a regret, and he simply said, 31- zero you missed nothing. I hung up in disgust.
Thank you Yorks, Singletary and Alex Smith for wasting another NFL season.
How exactly is the loss Alex's fault?

I did not say last nights game, I said this NFL season. Too many coach's are afraid to cut him and have Alex become Peyton Maniing for another team. He has had 6 years, enough is enough. In the first quarter he was so tentative, the minute he rolls right you know the play is effectively over.

I left the game at halftime to take my 9 and 7 year old daughters Christmas shopping for their secret santa. I set the DVR for the second half and left. I also get updates on the 49ers score live and after hearing it ring pretty frequent I decided no to "Watch the film".
I think I can speak for alot of the fans here when I say that the my faith in this team is dwindling after 8 years of losing and no hope in sight. I have been a fan since 1981 and this is the most frustration I have felt because there is talent on the team.
Hopefully we have a great offseason of changes.

I have finally gone numb to it all. I still watch all the games, but feel like "whatever" if they get blown out like last night. I kind of disassociate this team as being the real 49ers in my mind. It feels like watching imposters in 49ers uniforms. They have fallen so far, and have remained down there for so long. Kind of hard to have any feelings about it after a while. Obviously I am still an obsessed fan though, considering I am hangining around here every day. I guess I am just in denial that I care still.

This tone was very similar to the one I set last night when I posted this on another thread....seem appropriate to put it here....
Man......this game was a true disaster....and there have been several this year. Hopefully, the York family watched every painful moment of that pathetic display. There were some real unlucky moments (J Smith getting thrown out by an official who was pushing HIM!) but let us just count the ways that this team utterly failed...
1) The OL played perhaps its worst game of the year...at a time that it should be jelling....or at least showing signs of improvement. The missed block in the middle of the line on the 4th down play at the goal line was simply inexcusable. Someone should lose his job because of that.
2) The ridiculous amounts of room that the CBs were giving to the Charger receivers....dont' know if that is on the "coaches" but it was an absolute disgrace.
3) For the 14th time this season, the coaching staff was completely outcoached, unprepared, and made no adjustments to what the other team was doing.
4) Game plan? If one was ever discussed prior to the game, it was never implemented. This has to be the most predictable team in recent memory....on offense and defense. The other team knows exactly what the Niners are going to do.
5) Absurdly stupid mistakes. Dropped passes (easy ones!), amateurish penalties (I would have cut Moran Norris right on the spot for that penalty on the kickoff if I were the HC), poor tackling...You name it and they did it.
6) Poor QB play....but since the OL was so porous, I can't really put this debacle on A Smith. It was a team "effort".
7) Speaking of effort, this team just lay down like dogs....no passion, no fire, no emotion, no pride, no heart......just an absolutely listless "performance". Only Andy Lee, Josh Morgan and Takeo Spikes earned their paychecks tonight. I put a lot of that on the coaching staff however. This team was just totally unprepared to play.
Memo to Yorks......
This joke of a team is seriously tarnishing the legacy of this great franchise and that is YOUR responsibility. DEAL WITH IT!!! Spend the goddam money to bring in a professional front office or SELL THE GODDAM TEAM!!!
Thank you and have a nice holiday season.

Sadly I think we can NEVER win with the current front office ownership and senior management. They have no GM. No GM! Does this look like a team that doesn't need a GM?... They will just hire the next idiot HC and draft a new QB. But it will be the same. We need a new front office structure to win.
I agree it's a waste to watch the 49ers these days. They have no direction and not a clue. I can live with them not being the best team. I can live with them not having the best players. But at least build in some direction toward something. Do they even have a goal or a plan?...

I think they were waiting to see how we finished up this year and potentially promoting Balake. I would wait before you go all ape s**t to see what Jed does. He's not his father, give the kid a shot. Aside from giving Sing the job which most did approve of he has done pretty good.

First rule of fantasy football don't draft any Niner players... or at least don't overrate them.

I drove sixty miles home from work in six inches of ice and snow with full antcipation to watch that crap. I was so ticked entering the fourth quarter, I quit watching and deleted the game off my DVR.

We can't beat a playoff team, because we can't even win the worst division in the entire history of the nfl! 2 games left i want both of them to be wins cause i hate this division. i could care less if we go to the playoffs, cause were going to get owned at home and be a major disappointment even more so then we are now! I still want to win and kill the rams and the cards!
