actually a loss to seattle eliminates the niners. Even if they win out after that theres no scenario the niners can make the playoffs even with seattle losing the rest of the way.

Go ahead and try and make a scenario.

If Singletary gets sacked after a loss it would be interesting if they let MJ finish the season as HC just to see how the play calling may change. I'd watch for that reason alone.

Correct. A loss to Seattle puts them at 7-6 with a tiebreaker over us. The worst they can then finish is 7-9 and the best we can finish is 7-9.
We're gone.

Jed still feels that they have a chance to make the playoffs and if they do it will look a little better for the team. If they lose to Seattle then there is no reason to keep Singletary around. Thats the only thing thats keeping Sing in his job right now. Either way I feel Singletary is gone.

One MAJOR problem. No one is on staff that is capable of being a HC. If there was someone, they would have already done it.
IMO this team would be better off w/o a HC. Just let the coordinators do their jobs. That will never happen either though.

It's pathetic that our season has come down to this...beating a 6-6 team to keep our hopes alive of making the playoffs. Why are we even talking about this? Does anyone really want to make the playoffs in a division like this? I DONT! We absolutely stink & I'd prefer to get moving forward with restructuring this team...ONCE AGAIN!!

Then we'll finish the season 5-11...if we win, it'll be 6-10, either way Singletary's a goner. I just hope Jed's quick enough on the trigger to make Gruden an offer he can't refuse.

This could have been a big issue 4 weeks ago when we had 8 weeks left, but with only 3 games left after Sunday it wouldn't be a big deal.

So why wouldn't they just wait 3 weeks to fire him instead of mixing things up once we are out of the playoff race?
