This season is lost, but at least I get to watch Alex play a couple more games before he leaves this team. This management and coaching staffs have really put a damper on his career so I think it will be nice for him to come out and finish what he started. If he faulters, no big deal. That's a better draft pick. If he comes out and plays well then great, I at least have something to look forward to watching this team the remainnding 3 games.

At this point I've kind of lost interest in this team. I'm so tired of getting my hopes up only for those hopes to turn to frustration. We need a pretty big overhaul and I think that starts with the HC'ing position, then to the QB position. We need something to put some life in this fanbase that has stuck through this team the last 7-8 seasons of dismal football. I'm an Alex Smith supporter but I really don't want to go through another off-season of reading this constant battle of him. It's best for both parts just to clean house.
27% of you are delusional if you think Singletary will stay regardless of what happens. Unless we win out and win the super bowl...Sing is gone. So just calm the hell down.

If you're a fan why would you want Singletary back?

I'm so tired of these straw men.

How does one wanting our team to win insinuate that he/she wants Singletary back?
Do you not know the law of action, reaction? Besides, we're dealing with the Yorks here, we can't take any chances.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing every game, no matter the circumstances.

Yes, I want to win because...I'm a Niners fan.

Simple, isn't it.

We have no idea what the future holds, regarding a new HC or the draft. No guarantee what impact winning or losing will have. But I like winning and I don't like losing.

they wouldnt do that. he actually made it to the nfc championship. Instead they would hire wade phillips or josh mcdaniels. (i wouldnt mind mcdaniels as an OC, he did pretty good things with kyle orton and matt cassel.)
The issue is not which QB plays. As a fan, I just want the team to win. If we beat Seattle, everything remains possible and I do not want to wait until next year to see if we make the playoffs or not. Nobody knows what will happen next year, so let's have the team do everything it can this year.

If the Niners win with Alex, fine. I met the guy in London; he's very nice and deserves a last shot. If he fails, he will be gone anynway, so what difference does it make ?

The only thing I want is the firing of Singletary at the end of the season, whatever happens. Frankly, I do not think that four victories and a playoff appearance would change anything in this respect. A victory in the SB maybe, but the risk is unfortunately quite small...and I am ready to take it !

Go Niners !
I just want them to win period.
I hope they win...for Alex's and the team's sake. Another loss ends the season for all practical purposes...and gives the players much less incentive to get after it. It's true, they're pros, but let's face it, with literally nothing to play for except personal pride, it takes a lot out of the season.

i dont care who starts i want this team to win but relistically we wont make the playoffs ...

the only way we make playoffs if we move to spread offense tehn at least we have a chance but with singeltary as coach i doubt well do that

If we win, it's also a loss, because we won't have a shot at Luck. If we lose, it's a win because it gets us closer to a top 5 pick. So, if we win it's a loss and if we lose it's a win. So either way it's a win/win.

Because you'll sacrafice a loss for better draft position to get players that will make the team better. Why, do yuu get your jollies from seeing your team win and then come the draft you lose out on a player because you won that last meaningless game.

I needs no further explanation than THIS.
I don't give q s**t who's in at QB, i want us to lose. The only that matters to meet is hiring Harbaugh as the coach and drafting Andrew Luck to be our franchise QB. This season is over boys and girls. Draft position is the only thing I care about!
