Whats the point of going back to Alex?

Alex should have started since the Tampa Bay game. Alex is better than his initial play in the first 5 games. Troy got the easy part of the schedule, so of course he looked good. Alex is not normally a turn over machine, but for whatever reason, he threw a lot of picks those first 5 games. If Alex can take care of that problem (which is not a given), he is the best QB hands down.

Who cares? i really dont care who starts.
Just wait til January when we get to see the front office and coaching staff dismantled. Once again, our only season will be the off season.

The point would be to win games. Period. Don't think about it too much, what the motivation is or if it's to find out if he is "the answer". None of that matters. The point would be to win the next four games. These coaches very well may be gone next year too, what do they care if Alex is here next year or not at this point? If they think he gives them the best chance to win, that right there is the point. The only one they, or you, need.

it don't matter who's at QB right now. They all suck. Carr sucks more than the rest but still, they all suck.

If the Niners still think they can win the division they should just have Troy start and then when he gets into the redzone stick Alex in there because he's actually decent there.

Agree 100%
Lets see if Troy or Nate can develop into something. I say keep Alex as #2, cut Carr, and put Nate as #3. Then, if Nate looks ready, put him in a couple of games/drives to see what he can do.

even the broadcasters were like WTF??? If your gonna let the clock run out why take the timeout in the first place. Singletarty is a class a buffoon when it comes to coaching. He might be a nice guy and a class act but when it comes to winning football games which he is paid to do he fails miserably.

To keep things interesting I guess. It's all we have left.
Either Alex wins 4 straight CONVINCINGLY or he just absolutely blows. Just end it either way please.

What's the point of continuing with Troy Smith?
What's the point of having Alex Smith, Troy Smith and David Carr as your QB's?
