The stuff Willie Brown is saying is scaring me. He says Bo Jackson suffered a similar injury, and was never the same runner again. Then after surgery he's had a limp since.

Troll much?

More like, much truth.

You need a tissue?!

the sad part is it is true. The guy has been 90% of the offense for how many years now? It was bound to happen. At least we have 2 capable back ups to take his place and pick up the slack without a loss in production.
And look at Maiocco's twitter again.....

Zeigler has a knee sprain that looks serious

And Baas had a concussion

We may have won the game. But these injuries are going to hurt BIG TIME.

It was just a matter of time until this happened.

It's going to rain tomorrow.

It's Singletary's fault.

Fixed.

It truly is the inconvenient truth, they even mentioned it during the game, the percentage of plays given to Gore, nearly an NFL record. He has been overused.

You can blame that on Sing too.

This may sound harsh, but this is EXACTLY what the team needed.

1) Its not like we're making a Superbowl run anytime soon, and this gives Frank plenty of time to rest up and be ready for next season, when a REAL coach is ready to lead the team.

2) It negates Sing's pound the ball philosophy, because unlike Gore......Westbrook is more of a finesse guy. He'll opt for the outside if he doesnt see a lane between the tackles, and prefers to squirm his way for a first rather than knocking down defenders en route.

3) We finally utilize Westbrook, and it may surprise a few teams as they are more accustomed to preparing against the Niners with the typical "stop Gore" approach. Westbrook is a better receiver from the backfield, and could be an added receiving threat along with his legs.

Gore will be missed, but in a way....I think he needs the time off. They mentioned it during MNF that Gore has been responsible for 45% of the team's offensive yards since 2006. Thats a lot of mileage on the poor guy.....
Hope he makes a full recovery.
