"Who gives a s**t if the 49ers won tonight? RAMS ARE IN FIRST PLACE BABY! And Frank Gore out for the season? Hopefully his career is over. f**k Gore and f**k the 49ers"

if we beat the Rams you will need to post his email address for the wolves to play with

Yes please. I will email that SOB at least 100 times.

if it is a legit hip fracture, don't count on that.

Please come back healthy Frank.

+1

Next year though.
Damon Bruce was just saying on KNBR that a broken hip is generally better than a dislocated hip due to blood flow, which I believe is what Bo Jackson had.

So let's just keep our fingers crossed!

are these type of hip injuries rare?

Yeah, and when they happen it puts a RB's career in complete jeopardy.

Broken hip = 100% retirement.

Fractured hip = loss in production/leading back status, nagging health problems/arthritis.

Why isn't this something a RB can make a full recovery from? I'm not a pro athlete or anything but I've broken bones before and they healed up 100%. Just earlier this week Reggie Bush returned from his broken fibula.

Hip is worse than a knee. Ask Priest Holmes and Bo Jackson.

Jackson I'll give you, but Holmes was past 30 nearing the end of his career.

He said hip is worse than a knee and I know that, my point was I'm asking why

ehh, my odds are with Gore. Those devastated knee injuries to both his knee's could have ended and should have ended his career. He is one tough SOB and has the heart and will to always come back.

so do I, we've recently seen some injuries that were career threatening with Brees and Herderson and they have come back.

because of the amount of stress that is put on the hip joint. When a hip is fractured most people don't realize that it is not that actual hip that is fractured but rather the head of the femur. depending on the severity of the fracture, Gore could require surgery that would 100% end his football career.

It's true though, this isn't like a knee/ankle, or even an ACL/MCL, once you lose your hip you're done in the NFL.

Priest Holmes fractured his hip and it took a year to heal, but by the time he was clear to play, Priest opted for retirement because he didn't want to risk the effects of his long-term health.

This is grim s**t, but even if Frank comes back, he'll never be the Frank he used to be.

Do you not understand that a hip fracture is not the same as a knee injury? A hip injury is pretty severe especially if it requires surgery. Look at my post above and look at what an actual hip fracture is.
