For this season. There is no guarantee he will be fired if we are eliminated from the playoffs anyway as there are only two games left. Do you really think we gain anything from his firing this season? The people on this coaching staff have enough of a hard time making a case for why they should retain their job, much less assuming the role of head coach even if for just a couple games.

When Ditka was coaching N.O. they were maybe 2-13 going into the last game of the season. I think it was against a fairly good team. Ditka gave everyone the kick a$$ or lose your job speech and N.O. won the game in the last few seconds. They lost the #1 pick in the draft which happened to be Peyton Manning. Every Saints fan was shouting WTF. All Ditka had to do was play his rookies for that game with the excuse that he had to see what he was going to have to start the next season. He loses the game, gets Peyton Manning and the Saints have a great QB and a local hero. Ditka cost the Saints a ton of money with his f-ked up "win one for the gipper crap".
Sh!t -on-a- Shingle-tary will probably pull something like that for his parting screw-up.
