In two weeks the NFC West could be tied at 4-6

TB are not the Yuks this year. Mike Williams is going to single handedly destroy our 2ndary.
We got this!
This is already rolling in the NFC West Thread. How many more of these do we need.
We are 2-1 in our last 3 games...winning record baby!

f**k! This always happens every year. Schedule looks good before the season and then those same crap teams turn good.

Their schedules look easier because they have THE NINERS twice (except Seattle)

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I wonder what the schedule would look like if we took that out?
How they rank
49ers Off - 22, Def - 14
Rams Off - 27, Def - 9
Sea Off - 30, Def - 27
Card Off - 31, Def - 30

Looks to me like 49ers have good chance with 5 more division games. If we beat the Rams on Sunday.

Currently the 49ers are two games out of first place. In two weeks they could be in a four way tie for first place.

This week the 49ers and Rams match up in San Francisco. The Cardinals travel to Seattle to take on a reeling Seahawks team. If the 49ers and Cardinals win then the 49ers will be one game back with the other three teams at 4-5.

Next week the 49ers take on an overrated Buccaneers team at home. The Rams take on the Falcons at home, the Seahawks play at New Orleans, and Arizona plays at Kansas City. If the 49ers win a very winnable game and the other three lose against better opponents, there will be a 4 way tie in the putrid NFC West at 4-6. If this happens, it wont be out of the question for a 7-9 team to win this division.

Barrow's article on each NFC West teams remaining schedule

TB is not overrated. They are playing every team tough and have a winning record to prove it.

I agree. TB is NOT OVERRATED. People who think they are and expect a WIN are setting themselves up for disaster. Because wasn't most people in this forum expected a WIN against CAR and look what happened. Trend lightly this year when expecting WINs against teams who you think are overrated and a niner WIN.

its like we've been talkin about this for two weeks

One game at a time starting with the Rams. We have a solid chance in beating them in our house. My concerns are on the OLBs and OLs. The OLBs have to get to Bradford and the OLs have to stop Long and Co, simple as that. We get pressure on D AND by Troy some time, we win this solidly. If we make mistakes and don't play our game, it will be close and we could lose like before. I expect a win.

It's next week that's really important as it's a week where we can catch up in the division given our divisional opponents foes:
AZ@KC--Nobody like to play there and they have done well at Arrowhead--AZ loss
Sea@NO--NO playing better and at home with a very injured team coming in--Sea Loss
Atl @StL--Atl also playing better and have more means to win even away--Stl Loss
TB@SF--This will be tough, but they can be had. It will be very close--toss up.

So yea, we all could be 4-6 with AZ on MNF to follow. This would be ideal. Again,
one game at a time on any given Sunday.

It starts against the Rams!
you want to see some good 49ers football on sunday? go to blockblusters and rent the 49ers '94 season and watch that instead.
49ers have a serious chance at taking the NFC West. The Niners' DVOA ranks 17th in the league, which is well better than the Rams (25th), Seahawks (29th), and Cardinals (31st). They are 0-4 in games decided by a touchdown or less, and that isn't likely to recur in the second half. Their schedule over the final eight games is the second-easiest in the NFL, and while the Cardinals have the easiest slate, the Niners are a superior team.

Yeah, but we also play 4 more divisional games. If we TRULY are the best team in the NFC West, we'll sweep the remaining games. Every division game counts in a competitive, though weak, division.
This thread jinxed everything.
