Troy has done as good as anyone could hope. We're still wasting too many downs running it up the middle, and the discipline has been CRAP as usual under Singletary.

Oh, what could have been. The first half is just a microcosm of the whole season. The Niners should be up 21-10 at the best, if not for the following self inflicted wounds:
- commit stupid, undisciplined penalties
- waste two timeouts
- take the lead then get conservative too early
- breakdowns on the offensive line
- Nate Clements getting burned for being too aggressive trying to jump routes.
If the Niners don't put away the Rams in the second half, they only have themselves to blame.

I don't understand how they call that penalty. He was running vertically into the QB. He wasn't leading with his helmet - the tackle was a result of their collision.
The NFL is getting very NBA-ish with they way they call penalties.
