Yup, and if I remember correctly, Staley was pretty darn good at RT his rookie year. I hope next season Davis is at LT with Staley at RT.
No he wasn't.
He gave up 8 sacks in his rookie year on the right side. When he moved to LT, he then gave up 8.5 sacks. Both statistics rank in the bottom 10 of starting Ts.
That Joe Staley is a good RT is a big myth. He's nothing more than an average T at best.

Statistics are meaningless when your quarterbacks are running into the sacks.

thats completely false alex never runs into sacks he acually does a good job avoiding them most of the time
the difference btween 2005 is that our line was worse so he didnt get much help as a rookiw
worse WR so it took a long time for someone to get open
those r the reasons staleys numbers are inflated as a RT

To be perfectly honest, I am pretty happy with Davis's play. Has has a couple of rough game, specifically the Chief game, but overall he looks like a promising first year tackle. OT is one if no the hardest position to come into the NFL and start, not to mention he is the youngest layer in the league. Trust me, what you see now is as bad as its going to be and he will be good...if not great. Bulaga on the other hand looks horrible, not promising at all.

Fantastic, then give some other way to quantify that Staley was a good RT.
Truth is, there is none.

Smart move by Chiefs b/c with the ot's they have there run game has been dominate, and Berry has really helped the defense.
And Saffold has clearly been the best tackle. Trent Williams has looked great at times and bad in other spots. Him and Davis are playing about the same. Bulaga looks to be a level below both.
