As of right now this division might be the worse division in the NFL and just barely edging out three garbage teams shouldn't be enough for this regime to stay.
might be the worst? three garbage teams? three garbage teams that have more wins than the garbage team tha'ts currently in last place of the division.

York made news Sunday when he declared that the 49ers will still win the NFC West. Good luck with that.
However, if the 49ers should pull off a miracle comeback this season, it probably won’t save coach Mike Singletary’s job. According to a team source, Singletary will need to do some extraordinary things over the final 11 games to have any hope of coming back as coach. That extraordinary thing would be something like winning all of the remaining games and even a playoff contest or two.
While York also said this weekend that he’s “absolutely” staying with Singletary for the remainder of the year, the decision to stand pat is partly based on the belief that there’s no one on staff that the organization feels it can entrust with the job.
dad-gum Yahoo Sports Jason Cole
CBS.com reported that Sing would have to do more than that to remain the HC of this team as he is gone at the end of the Season.
Now it's 1 or 2 games?
I call *cough*BULLSH!T *cough*
I don't believe either story since Jed tweeted that we're taking the Division.
Until this team does not take the Division, Sing's job is safe.

Other teams are having no problem figuring how to stop the niners. This is due to Singletary's stagnant philosophy. This will only change with a change at head coach. Singletary is too set in his ways. I love the guy, but he is a motivational speaker, not a head coach.
The front office feels that nobody on the coaching staff can step in and turn the team around. I concur.
So who do we get? Here is my list of possibilities, in no particular order:
Jack Del Rio
John Gruden
John Fox
Personally, I prefer Chucky, and the other two are currently employed. What are your thoughts?
not del rio
chucky, if he'd even bother...
maybe fox, but not too thrilling.
i'm down with billick, but not cowher.

Could have fooled me watching his offense in Baltimore. Other than Jamal Lewis they were horrible.

You have a valid point I think if 3 garbage teams are ahead of you, you are garbage also.

but now he gets to go to school (nfl network) and learn a wee bit, plus he also took that no-offense team to the superbowl and won. albeit he had a great defense.
it's the hair, huh?

that offense was offensive, but he managed to make them decent. jamal pounded the rock, dilfer just managed the game and DID NOT lose the game for them, giving the defense a chance to win it for them (which they did plenty of times)
if billick had a VD and Crab to go with jamal lewis, that offense would've been better.
i bet he'd do a much better job than what we're stuck with now.

Disagree, we'd be super conservative offensively under Bilick just like we are now. We need to get back to our roots, the WCO.
Gruden or Harbaugh FTW.

He had some great success as an offensive coordinator and was disciple of Walsh. But his Raven offenses never got anything going. I'm sure he tailored his approach around the fact that he had an elite defense and just built the team to capitalize on it (a conservative offense that limits mistakes). But it was the inability to generate (after many years) a conistently productive offense that eventually cost him his job. Also, I just want to cut all ties with any assocation to the offensive philosophy of the 85 Bears or 00 Ravens. Somebody please bring some offense back to the Bay!

Harbaugh would be the top choice if he actually wanted to take on the niners job.
