FIRE him period!!! He is one of the worst QB's I have EVER seen in the NFL!!! I just watched hime literally throw the game away against the eagles!!! A team that we Should and could beat!! But we should have and could have beat all the teams we have played this year so far! We need an expierenced HEAD coach and a QB that is at least average!! I'm to the point already where Im asking myself...will we win 1 this year at all?

What a miserable idea. This game was a team loss.
Look at Alex's stats, minus that int on the protection break down at the end, and Carr couldn't do that. We had a 100 yard receiver and he threw for over 300 yards. Adjust the play calling and cater to Alex and not Gore.

youcant put all the blame on one player Smith did suck but he came back and got 2 more Td's and almost a third.
What bad QB gets 300 yards passing and 3 tds????

This was the strangest sht I've ever seen.
It reminds me of the Eagles game in 1994 when Young got benched by Seifert and Young went ballistic. Not trying to compare but it's interesting nonetheless. Alex didnt go ballistic but he freaked out for his standards.
This press conference should be interesting. I still think Carr should get meaningful reps.

Well Carr almost came in. I've been a Smith supporter for while now and I've always given him chances and defended him. I'm going to stop now. Yes he threw for 300 yards and 3 TD's but he also made mistakes AGAIN in the game. On the INT, replays show Davis was open underneath for the 1st down. On the play that he fumbled, he could have just thrown it to Davis again but decided to run with it and he didn't go down. I applied him for almost winning the game but thats how its been every week. You subtract his mistakes, and others, and the team is possibly 3-2. Our division will probably be out of reach here shortly and we'll probably lose the bragging rights in the bay area.
Put Carr in, what do we have to lose? If he plays well then good, if he doesn't then we draft high next season. I just hope the talent on this team don't pull a "michael lewis" on the team.

Alex Smith being benched = season is completely over. You don't know football if you don't realize this.
At least wait for a loss to the Eagles.
Season already over with Smith in there, so I don't see the difference.
That's my point.
No QB on this team offers any better chance to win than Alex. At least he's got experience with the system and has more talent.
I'd rather see what Carr can do mid-game, instead of penciling in Alex's 2 INTs a game. If Alex has 2 ints, i'll pull him right there just to send a message, you can't make those kind of decisions/high throws week in and week out. You are our starter but protect the damn ball and give us a chance to win.

One that also gas 3 turnovers and one that gives away points when the game is on the line. Smith is consistent at turning the ball over, he touches the ball on 99% of offensive plays, he leads the nfl in turnovers. If you can't see that's the problem then I dunno what to tell you.
