I only hope Jed doesn't hire someone worse.
my fear is jed hires another defensive minded head coach
I don't think that's the problem. There are plenty of successful defensive-minded head coaches. It's how they handle the offensive side of the ball that separates bad from good. I guess if you mean defensive mentality as in great defense and score just enough to win, then I'm behind you.

it doesn't, and it won't help. it would be nice to see nate davis play but that will never happen.
well the last time a team 0-4 made the playoffs is the chargers/ Mike Sing has never proved to be a HC except motivating the players.
Next week is no guarantee...0-5 is very possible, so is 0-6. How much worse does it have to get before the Yorkies realize this doesn't help business.
The 49ers are one of the lowest valued franchises in the NFL, wonder how much that price has dropped since the Yorks took over?

But if he continues to play Alex, then Singletary has got to go.
What would Jesus do, Mike? (hint.....cut Alex)
Ok, who do you put in? Of the 4 QBs on the team Alex Smith is the best. David Carr, Troy Smith or Nate Davis are worse.
Alex is the best? based on what?
He was handed the starting QB position. He's a loser and so is Carr for that matter. I'd rather see what Troy Smith and Nate Davis bring to the table (kinda like bringing in a rookie)
I already know what Alex and Carr bring: terrible QB play. Their career stats speak for themselves. Their career numbers are indisputable.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Again Tom Brady and Kurt Warner didn't "beat out" Drew Bledsoe or Trent Green. They got their shot because the starting QBs got injured. And the rest is history.

singletary sucks but firing him now would only bring up another interim coach that could motivate a few wins and bring up false hope like singletary did. id rather they can him at years end and go after a legit coach in the offseason, preferably an offensive minded one like jim harbaugh, gruden, s**t id even take billick. let singletary be the placeholder until seasons over and then we wont have any excuses to pick a coach from this stiff. i want them to clean house, save for manusky no one on this staff is worth s**t. i did like johnsons creativity today but they can still do better.

I do think Solari, Hoener, Rathman, Tomsula, and even Mike Johnson are all quality NFL position coaches. A few of them potential coordinators-in-the-making. I think keeping them would be good.

Sing was the guy that changed QB's with the quickness last year.
JTO sucked, he replaced him with Hill
Hill was good, then sucked, put in Smith
Smithers came back , but now , can't score more than 1 t.d. a game

~ The fact that they hired him in the first place tells you a lot.
~ The fact that they stick with him though all of this tells you even more.

i do like some of these guys but we need a clean break i think. no coach comes in and keeps the previous coaches leftovers. manusky is a great D coordinator but im pretty sure hes one of the guys on the fringe of becoming a HC somewhere anyway so he could be gone soon even if we keep sing. rathman is a great RB coach i would keep him, solari is supposedly pretty good and is well regarded, hoener im not too familiar with, tomsula has been great for us and mike johnson seems capable but like i said there may be better people out there and im sure a new coach would want their guys. it could very well end up with some of these guys back because i think these guys are quality coaches. i just think sing definitely needs to be on his way out after the year ends.

I heard that. I will say I've been impressed overall by Solari's work with this line, particularly the 2 rooks. Outside of Rachal, they've played pretty well. Much better than last season. If the right new HC and QB, this could be a Jets-like line next season.

ya im happy with how the rooks are progressing. thats where singletary is the problem. rachal is one of his projects. snyder has played well at guard when he's been in and he always goes back to rachal. im pretty sure thats sing and not rachal, he meddles in this s**t more than we know.
