The 49ers front office hasn't had that "football guy." We need an experienced NFL personality who knows how to build a team, can work the phones in negociations, trades, etc. We have been lacking that Bill Pollian, Bill Parcells-type guy. Trent Baalke has done a great job, but until we get the guy, this franchise will not get very far! The previous success that we once enjoyed will be a distant memory.

tell that to the yorks
You stole my material
This franchise has excellent value at the front office positions. Why would they hire a football guy when they don't need one? It's greater value not to have a GM. We are the envy of the league...

I know you are being sarcastic but "value" doesn't work in the front office. that is where the brain trust of your organization should be.

The 49ers have figured out a "new way." A "better way." Why copycat 31 other organizations when you are the envy of the league for your innovative ways?...

Those people cost money that the Yorks don't want to part with.
Our ownership just keeps hiring inept/first-time coaches, and handing them the keys to the kingdom (in personnel decisions).

Ed Roski and Larry Ellison would hire football guys.

Jed is too young and naive to sell

the one common theme for the past 8 years is us being horrible
and that is we are getting farther and farther away from what Bill Walsh and Eddie D created, oh what seems so long ago. Dammit!!
A s**tty team?
I think the guy suppose to be coach Sing which apparently a wrong call.
