definitely not premature. If we were the rams, yes, premature. But we are not in a "rebuilding" phase so no way we should be playing the way we are.

the problem is very few fans and sports writers grasp the concept of Franchise mode vs Season mode.

The difference between an 0-3 Niners and 0-3 Lions is that the Lions are still building, and really not expected to do much in 2010. Their aims are more 2011 and beyond.

The 49ers however were heading into the 2010 season as a "last chance" kind of motto. Compete for the division or else. So as the 2010 season losses pile up, the Niners Franchise mode begins to start to aim more for 2012 or 2013 and beyond.

Of course a team like the Niners are going to make mid season changes...because it is in preparation for a blow up and rebuild phase.

If you care even a little bit about the 49ers, you should forget about 2010. All of our focus should be on 2012. Play our youngsters now. Find out what Mike Johnson has now. Find out what Nate Davis has now.

Sad when the TE is the fastest guy on the roster...

We have reason to panic. Were 0-3 and looking towards 0-4. I mean, how much different are we going to look with only an OC change and only giving him less than a week to tweak things?
