New Stadium Needs Financing?

I kinda want a new stadium to be built in San Francisco anyway, but that's probably because I'm not familiar with the area and don't know much about Santa Clara. Gavin Newsome did warn that financing was gonna be a problem, although he doesn't seem to have a viable solution to keep the team in SF either.

I totally agree! Sucking down some buffalo wild wings sounds like a real good idea right now.

If Yorks were not so fixated on using OPM (other people's money) they could have built the stadium 10 years ago for a total cost far less than what their share of the current stadium cost will be.

It would not be the end of the world if the 49ers moved to LA. We would get a new ownership group here (just like in Baltimore), possibly headed by Steve Young and Brent Jones who have tried to buy the team from Yorks, who have had backers ready to finance a stadium for years. We would have a new NFL team which actually has a General Manager, who will be a Football Guy, as well as a Head Coach who has had actual experience being a successful NFL head coach. All of the 49er greats would be welcomed back to the games and events, not ostracised, and would give talks to our team, not our opponents. We could even have real halftime entertainment again, like SF bands and frisbee dogs -- not just cheap high school football, or servicemen marching around.

I would be willing to pay for PSL's for a real NFL team connected to the 49ers great history. Don't think I'm going to pony up for Jed/Dr./Denise's amateur operation.
