Having Tom Rathman as our OC starting next year? I dont know why he is never ever mentioned as a possible OC, i know we are in a different system right now, but the thing i used to like a lot about San Fran is that whoever came here, they knew they were going to play or coach in a west coast offense. Everyone is always asking the organization to reach out to the players of the glory days or to have Jerry coach the WRs or Steve the QBs, well guess what? Heres one of them, one who actually has been coaching for how long in the NFL? 10 years? who played the game at a very high level, won championships with us being a key cog on the team, i dont know i think its just weird he is never mentioned as a posibble candidate......with all that film stored in there its a shame we dont use it as a tool, just like steve said sometime ago.

Novel idea--if Mike Johnson doesnt work out, how about someone with OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR EXPERIENCE?!?!

If there is a new HC there will be a new OC and it won't be Tom Rathman.
If Sing manages to hold onto his job however unlikely, it will most likely be in large part due to Mike Johnson. So again, not Tom Rathman.
I like Tom Rathman. I don't know if he would make a good OC. Unproven as they come.

It all depends on if Mike Johnson does a good job or not

Todd Haley, the guy who just kicked our ass was a first time HC. Just saying. Our problem is we need a HOFO guy like Pioli or Parcells or Holmgren.
