What really bothers me is how few tacklers we have on the ball on any given play. Good defenses will consistently have 5-6 tacklers converge on and run through the ball carrier. We don't.
The game film clearly identifies the guys that do not seem to have a sense of urgency. We're either lacking passion for the game itself, determination and/or a sense of purpose right now. I hope that the "changes" Sing plans to make includes players who's "motors" never stop. PW can't do it all.
The Bears defense put on a clinic last night against one of the best offenses in the league. Rarely did I see less than 3 players on a tackle, and most of the time it was 4, 5 & 6 - quickly. That's how good defenses perform consistently (not sure if the Bears can play at that level every week like they did a few years ago though?).
Here's hoping that this gets corrected ASAP.

Very good point.
We need eleven hats to the ball, something taught in pop warner.
But our D lacks the passion, pride, desire, and talent.
The most overrated defense in the last few years. What a joke.

Hell yeah I'm serious!
What has the front office done to improve a unit that lacked speed, depth, scheme, play makers, etc.
NOTHING!
We have players that may not be around after this year (Lawson, Goldson, Franklin), as well as players who should not be around next year (M. Lewis, Spikes, Haralson, Clements, T. Brown).
And this team has failed to address the defensive side of the ball because they had to draft two offensive linemen in the first round to protect their bust QB.

Yes we are, all you need to do is take a look at how we play, not a cohesive unit at all.
