I'm done with Walker. He's a turnover waiting to happen. I think its time to move on

This is how I really feel too. He is a great talent. But it just doesn't seem to translate. He can't hold the ball. He costs the team more than helps and it has to stop.

They need to give him less touches and try to make an effort to get Crabtree going.

Frank went through it and adjusted and i believe walker will too.
He's still 26 years old, a steal in the 6th round. He avg 1 fumble a year in 3 full years.
Too much upside and versatility.

If he can fix it fine. But until he fixes it no more touches.

If he learns to hold the ball secure and not waving it around as he runs through traffic and causing fumbles, then sure, let him touch it. The guy always fumbles at the most inopportune times, usually causing a shift in momentum and leading to the Niner's losing.

He will in time. Nice run on the TE screen last night.
His speed against LB's and SS's gives us a huge advantage.

It doesn't help when he fumbles the ball and gives it back to the other team.

With Delanie Walker there is no denying his athletic ability. He's pretty big and strong and fast although not as big or fast as Vernon. Still he is a rare athlete. But he seems to have an uncanny habbit of fumbling at terrible times deep down the field or dropping the ball. The fumble driving down the field last night and the drop last year in Seattle come to mind.
He is big and stong and fast. But there is something about this guys "ball security" that is just terrible. Until he gets that figured out I'd rather see him get the ball way less or not at all. It's gotten to the point of beyong frustration now.
He fumbled on kick returns a couple times i believe in the past too
I want to know why the hell he's returning kicks in the first place. Kick returners need speed and shiftiness. This guy looks slow as hell compared to a lot of other guys on the team (I know he's fast for a TE, but that doesn't say all that much) and there's no chance in hell we don't have any players that are more shifty. Why isn't Philip Adams returning kicks? Punt returns are harder and he's doing those, so why not kick returns?
I understand Singletary doesn't want his starters doing returns, so that eliminates Josh Morgan, Vernon Davis, Nate Clements, etc., but Delanie Walker as a returner? What the hell?

High risk, high reward. I say give him another chance, hes one of our playmakers. Just tell that mf to hold onto the ball.
Where is the reward with him? All I ever see him do is F. up at key moments. What reward?
He makes plays. Yes he fumbled last night, and a few times before... Trust me, I was just as upset as everyone else in the 49ers nation. I just think he can be productive for us if he just holds onto the damn ball.
