It wouldn't have made sense to do it. If that 2pt wasn't converted obviously, but not when it's tied. You have to credit their returner for getting them just as good field position. If not I'm pretty sure it would've went to OT

Too risky giving the ball to the Saints possibly at their 40 yard line. Just too risky.

Sorry Sing made the right call. Period. Sing does not have the luxury of "epic FAIL" right now.

If there EVER is a time to do so, that would be the time. And Nedney can sell the OK damn well so WTF?
I don't think Sing should lose his job over it but C'MON there was NO REASON to give them the ball back if we can give ourselves more of a chance.

It's NT, 95% of the posts are "noob" posts, Ceddar can throw a stick in the fire, no big deal.

The chance of recovering an onside kick is pretty rare. You honestly want us to attempt one with the game tied, at home, against Drew Brees? If we don't convert, the game is basically over. If we do convert, we still have to drive and possibly kick a tough FG through the wind with very little time remaining. Risk vs. reward...it would make no sense to attempt it here. If we were down, then yes, we would have no choice but to attempt it. If we had all three of our timeouts, then yes, we could risk attempting it. In this situation, if the coach attempts an onside kick, he'd probably get fired right after the game. This isn't Madden bro.
