Why do we suck so bad vs screen passes

Can someone knowledgeable explain or take a guess as to why? We have some of the best and fastest linebackers, and yet we've been getting killed on screens since the beginning of last year. Too aggressive or what?

Yea the Saints just butchered us with those damn screens.

The screen is the cure for an overly aggressive D. Our DL has to read screen faster. Then agian the saints are the King of screens. Tehy wil fake 2 other screens to throw another

Screens work if there are no defenders in the flat. Most of the time, screens are called on 2nd and long or 3rd and long. This is when the defense is most vunerable because the defense is usually trying to defend the long pass, and therefore don't have any defenders in the flat.

Manusky plays a lot of quarters 4 and cover 3. Leaves only two guys in the middle of field.

A better question is why haven't we gotten any better at defensing this weakness ...... it continues be a problem.

Jamaal Charles and McCluster coming up next week, need to stop them since Cassel is barely getting anything to his receivers this year. Not to mention we usually do great against bigger slower guys like Bowe and Chambers.

Yeahh i agree... as soon as they get Parys Haralson's slow butt off the field. He had ONE good year and now he's officially burnt. Briggs anyone?! or Laboy?! Somebody other than Haralson PLEASE. the guy is about as mobile as Brett Favre in a collapsing pocket.
Reggie Bush (Or any other competent RB for that matter) + Parys Haralson+ Open field = First down. plain and simple.
