Matt Hasselbeck is hobbled, the Rams can't win on the road, the Cards are in disarray, the 49ers are 3-1 in their last 4; here come the meaningless wins.

I don't see us sweeping the division or beating GB or SD.

Yeah...it's so easy, we lost to Bucs, should beat 'Zona, will lose to GB, ditto Seattle (Hasselbeck's healthy enough to pick us apart), lose to San Diego and to the Rams in St. Louis. We should win the last game against 'Zona, leaving us with a 5-11 record.

Good enough for a top 7 pick, now if we can get a gm in here to trade back, and collect draft picks like the pats did last year.

We can only hope...all of which is why Jed will have to fire Singletary, but also hire a GM if he's not going to promote Baalke.

Schedule is just easy enough for us to f**k up our chances of drafting a good QB. This season can't be over soon enough, they can take their ball and bat and go home now.

I think the sorry state of the 49ers all comes from lacking a good GM. Hiring a seasoned or at least up-and-coming GM should be the highest priority, and let the guy determine Singletary's fate, and who'll replace him in the short-term. It's difficult to do so in the middle of the season, but the team owners have to start somewhere.

and you KNOW that's exactly what's going to happen. We're going to win JUST enough games, to put us out of reach of Luck, should he declare. (which we all know he is)

The Panthers have the inside track. Since they didn't bet the farm on whats-his-name in the last draft, you know that they will shoot for Luck should he declare. If they won't, the Bills will. Based on their schedule, they won't win more than one game for the rest of the season.

I hate that we always miss out on franchise QBs on years where the "can't miss" prospect declares. Especially since we gotta face Bradford for the next 15 years now. Also... should've drafted Rodger... we will repeat the same mistake of missing out a local talent.

Which is why I hope Baalke trades the farm to grab him. If it doesnt work he will be ripped by the fan base, but at least he would have tried to change the culture in SF instead of doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Even if we win the rest of our games, so what? It doesn't mean we are improving. The first half of this season was where most of our tough games were. Making the play-offs does us more harm than good.
That said, I refuse to root for our team to lose. Fortunately, I don't think it matters what I do...I think they've proven capable of that all on their own.

Again, the horse before the cart. Before we condemn any rookie to playing QB for us, this OL has to get fixed. Perhpas the talent is here now, but has not matured yet. I don't know, but someone who knows about these things should establish a solid OL, then put our franchise QB in there. Otherwise you might destroy his promise.
