No need to panic over the Seattle game!

I said it last season and this offseason! The Cardinals are my least worry. We swept them last year but split with the Seahawks. For some reason they've been playing us tougher and we have been taking them lightly! The Saints game will tell if we're headed up or down!

Yeah, stink it up again, against the Saints, then I think we will officially suck.

That's funny, I was just thinking that we needed another "It's just one game" thread.

I disagree. this was a statemnt game because the 49ers are supposed to be a better team. Better defense and more weapons on offense without looking at the QB. I think many changes need to be made from Ownership (a pipe dream) to coaching (my mistake I thought Sing would be a good fit but he cant attract the right coordinators to work for him) and We need to address the QB situation.
I know the QB isn't the only flaw on the offense...but it is a glaring one indeed and has been since 2005. Had the 49ers not been falsely hanging their hat on the hopes this Smith guy would be better perhaps the situation could have been addressed earier. A smarter QB with a better feel for the game, more natural Qb instincts, better accuracy, poise among other things would greatly improve the offense.

They laid an egg against Seattle. A total team meltdown. Remember when we lost to the Eagles in a blowout back in the day in the regular season when Young was the Qb at home and we won the Superbowl that year? I'm not comparing Smith to Young, but Smith and the team shouldn't look that bad again. Look crappy again, then we got something going on.

Hopefully not, I mean we got blown out by the Seachickens which is pretty bad. The one thing the 9ers could get out of it is motivation. Use this BS loss as motivation to get serious and beat a team that is much better being the Saints. You never know, Sing better fix up quick-style and get us ready for the Breeze.

I honestly think it's not the QB as much as it's the antiquated offense and horrible, old, washed up offensive coordinator. Can't get the plays to your QB in time? FAIL, Jimmy, you're fired/demoted and the QB coach will be calling plays. That's what I would do if I were the coach or GM. It's 2010, and we're running the ball like it was 1990. WTF are they thinking???

I don't think this is panic. I think it is sadness and the realization that any change, especially on the offensive side of the ball, will take a long time. There is also a sense of betrayal. The plays run against Seattle were the same futile plays as last year. The problems with time management are the same as last year. I thought there would be more spark and more of a dynamic offensive scheme. Same old stuff. Sad.
