I know Alex is limited, but you need to open things up a bit. Seems like are WR's get no seperation at all. When you finally get seperation (Ginn) Alex cant hit them. Lots of work needs to be done IMO
I agree with you, but this coaching staff can't even get the call in on time. And you are expecting them to be more creative with the plays...? To get that you would have to wait another 6 weeks.

I have noticed that Singletary lays blame on other a lot.
It's not all Smith's fault.
this was Sing's fault. Alex has real limitations. Anybody who does not recognize those limitations is an idiot. If Sing could not live with his limitations then he should have gotten him replaced a long time ago. Alex's limitations are he needs the game to be in hand...otherwise he implodes. This Defense and Alex Smith in control and Nedney would have given the Niners a 12 point halftime lead. Alex most likely would have protected that lead.
Sing f**ked that up.
I don't blame Alex at all, I accept what he can and cannot do.
THIS!
we got outcoached, outplayed and outsmarted. seaturds came out all hyped up and we didn't make proper adjustments.
alex sucked, however (just like sing and yoda)

LOL....Well the have Raye send the play to Johnson then Johnson to Smith. If Rayes going to call the play, then he should send it to Alex and not to a messanger then another messanger

If he falls on his face it will be easy to replace him after that. At least see if he is capable of something. Maybe he can calls plays better than Raye.
Maybe they should hire Alex as the OC and get a different QB. Im sure he is smart enough for the job.
Interesting comment about the no huddle... One with any sense should realize that you can't keep on doing the same thing unsuccessfully and expect success. Especially after the first interception in the second half, the Niners should have gone no huddle with the hope that Alex gets into a rhythm, the Seattle defense gets exhausted (particularly after spending all that time on the field in the first half), and/or that the team gets a little momentum going and shuts the crowd up. But no....they still went vanilla and worse,....the team showed no fight or enthusiasm. They just rolled over like dogs. The whole coaching staff should just mail back their paychecks for this week.....that was just pathetic.
The biggest problem with today's game in my mind was the team got badly out-coached....and showed little or no innovation, creativity, or even basic intelligence. This just might be the dumbest team in the league.....talented but dumb...

You have to do the following:
Go back to the way we started in the 1st 2 series. Stay with it. Alex
Run behind Itpati. Implement Westbrook immediately.
Replace Michael Lewis FAST AS YOU CAN...with Taylor Mays.(more big play ability)and energy for the secondary.
Ted ginn clear out the safety and let Crabtree go to work.
Play a 2 tight end set. That could be really good new look.

Seems like Seattle made the adjustments in the second half. Our coaching staff went with what ever successes they had in the first half. Came out trying to do the same thing in the second half. Seattle took that away, so then our coaches and players just play catchup at that point.

That isn't a problem, the reason why Alex Smith is so bad is his terrible upbringing. If Aaron Rodgers was drafted by the 49ers he would suck too. It isn't Alex's fault, he was destined for the Hall of Fame the 49ers ruined him.

We need to give OL some time, Rookies still raw, Gore was slow to hit the holes
if you recorded it, go back and look. Crabs lack of Pre Season showed. Alex will
never be the man however. But nothing will work unitl O Line gets act together. But early in the game, when Alex got time he still missed and did not see wipe open
Veron Davis on many plays. Unless the running game gets really moving then Alex in deep manure. Also Seatle was whole new team and we did not know them like we
have in the past, but they still know us. Look for slow start and improving toward
half way mark. I think Sing made mistake not letting Gore, and some others get more
playing time in pre season.

Singletary should have brought in his own QB when he was hired- that's rule #1 to any NFL coach.
Shanahan- trades for McNabb
Spagnoulo- cuts Bulger drafts Bradford in year 2
Schwartz- drafts Stafford
Rex Ryan- drafts Sanchez
Singletary- decides to ride a previous coaching regime's bust

Coaching failure: if you can't cover, blitz...every play. You already proved you can't cover, so blitz. Coaching failure. HC and Oc in way over their heads. JR is just so so, and bigmike(BM) has only had LB coaching to prep him for big leagues. Fire him, now, let him go to S.E. A&M Polytechnic, learn how to coach WRs, DBs, QBs, TEs, OLs, RBs, OC, DC....and then invite him back after say 10-15 yrs to coach in the nfl as HC. Right now you are seeing the results of nowhere near enough previous coaching, and certainly no knowledge, or precious little for a guy who is HC. Calling two TOs in first half, because once again plays didn't get in on time, and then losing a shot at TD from 1 foot line because all our TOs were burned is good enough for me to fire a guy, esp. after he has been here a yr and a half. That is just total inexperience in nfl coaching, plus a total misunderstanding of clock and its importance. YOu would think BM would have learned that by now...but he hasn't. Send him back to baylor, to learn coaching from the ground up...not from the top down.
Anybody that didn't think this might happen to a guy with virtually no coaching experience just wasn't thinking clearly. Certainly, jedi jed had stars in his eyes when he looked up and saw his HC as BM. This was my one and only complaint when he was hired, but everyone was so smitten with a GOAT LB as our HC, that this fundamental , essential tenet was ignored. Time to fix it by moving on down the line...without BM. When? Now is as good as any time , i reckon. Oh, and take JR with him.
Need an OC you say? Well, have our qb call plays, even if it is all 2 minute drill which we all know he can do. JR and BM? Hell they can't figure out what to do with 3rd and 5 on the 50, so they take a TO. Only way to keep BM here is if he can petition the league for 6 TOs/qtr...and i sincerely doubt that will happen. Oh, you think alex would be worse? No way, and we know, HE would get plays in on time.
