why do people want to bring in Leinart? That guy is a joke.
Because he's no more of a joke than David Carr.
Actually, Leinart >>>> Carr

I say cut Nate Davis and sign Matt Leinart to the #2 spot. Matt has everything you need in a #2, cautious check-downs and steller #2 QB mediocrity to win a couple of games (and it will come at a cheap price).

It's doubtful that Sing is using this as motivation. Cut day is upon us. Now if there were another 2 weeks of Preseason MAYBE it's for motivation. But in my experience, if you need motivation at this time of the year you don't make the cut.
Sing has three areas of concern where Davis is concerned.
Cut him outright.
Makes it past Waivers(he will) bringing him back and putting him on PS.
Or carry a 3rd QB at the expense of a more deserving player.
If they put him on PS, it may help him learn the Playbook better since on PS the players on it generally fill in @ other positions besides their specialty. This could be good for a guy like Nate who probably learns better by doing than by reading.
But it's definitely not for motivation.
