I wouldn't mind it , but it's risky.
how is it risky? Mike Rob would probably be the emergency QB if somehow we manage to lose both Smith and Carr in the same game...which I doubt since our OL should be much improved.
It's like an NFL professional coaching unwritten rule IMO
If Smithers sucks it up or gets hurt again, Carr will fail, and ......MRob?

I say cut Nate Davis and sign Matt Leinart to the #2 spot. Matt has everything you need in a #2, cautious check-downs and steller #2 QB mediocrity to win a couple of games (and it will come at a cheap price).

As someone stated before, keeping only 2 QBs means we're only 2 plays away from having Michael Robinson at QB. At that point, we have no chance whatsoever.
Well s**t, didn't we have 3qbs when we had to pick up Chris Weinke?

What exactly do you think Carr is going to do if he goes in?
That's right, a bunch of checkdowns.

Because he's no more of a joke than David Carr.
Actually, Leinart >>>> Carr

But in a
"funny" ha-ha" way! It'd be awesome seeing the players help him to the huddle after a late-night drinking binge!

i love how all of us see players for what they're really worth, i mean we should all be GM's because apparently the coaching staff that the Yorks have hired have no idea what Nate Davis is really worth, how much potential he really has. it's like Sing and the Niner's coaching staff have no clue what they're are doing when evaluating talent when it comes to the team...
does anyone know what i'm saying? i think we all need to send in our resume or start a petition, "If you cut Nate, you'll be disrespecting the fan base that clearly sees him as the future and the answer to all of our Niner problems, God Bless Nate Davis..."
