There are two problems here:
1. There is only one ball
2. Crabtree and Vernon also have Morgan, Gore, Ginn, Zeigler, et. al, as other targets.
Since Crabtree missed the first five games, Davis was the primary target. Now that Davis has Crabtree, he now has to share the spotlight with him.
I see Crabtree getting about 1100 yards and with Davis getting about 850 yards.

#15 & #85, can they both achieve 1,000 yard seasons?

It is hard for me to imagine Davis's numbers falling off by nearly two-hundred yards. Despite tying the record for TDs by a TE in 2009, his season left a lot of room for improvement; less drops, getting his head turned around when the QB is under pressure, running better routes, not quitting on plays, etc. On top of all that, I think his chemistry with Smith will take another step this year and he has a good shot at breaking the TD record.
As for Crabtree, I have no idea what he is going to do this season. He amazed me last year and I won't be surprised if he wows me again. I think an extra year of practice with Smith will also pay off in a major way.
I'll close by saying that while I'm not sure they'll both reach 1,000 yards, I think they'll combine for more than 2,000 yards receiving this season.
There is a possibility of a fall-off if teams decide to double-team V. Davis most of the time. In that case some other guys (like Crabtree and Morgan) may benefit.

Not with Jimmy Raye as OC and Alex Smith as QB they cant. In a good system and a good QB its very possible.

I would add Westbrook to Gore , Morgan , Ginn and Zeigler.

Lets be conservative and say Smith throws for 200 yards per game, which equates to 3,200 yards on the season.
And lets say that Crabtree and Davis both go for 1,000 yards.
Does it seem realistic to divide 1,200 receiving yards between Gore, Morgan, Walker, Ziegler, Ginn?
Gore - 300
Morgan - 500 (I think Morgan gets around 600 yards)
Walker 200
Ginn - 200 (I think Ginn gets more than 200 yards... he'll probably average 30 yards a game at least. There might be some games where he doesn't get any receptions, but then there might be others where he catches two or three deep passes)
If Smith can pass for 3,600 yards, I think Davis and Crabtree can get 1,000 yards.

That would be awesome. If that happened we would have ourself a quality QB. We already know we have quality receivers.

I have a hard time believing this can happen, namely because of the coaching philosophy. If anyone has a chance I would say Davis, just because of the type of routes they send him on. It would also take a banner year from Smith.

Vernon saw double teams for most of last season. They weren't that effective against him.
