Jennings is the best long snapper in the league. How many bad snaps can you recall in the last 8 - 10 years?
I can't recall any.
Jennings is about as automatic as it gets.
If Jennings were waived he would be claimed in about 5 seconds.

My thinking is that Eric Heitman, Kyle Williams and Ahmed Brooks are all injured. They can't go on IR until AFTER the final cut-down, so maybe we cut someone like Jennings to keep some of the likely claims on the 53 man roster. Then after he clears, you bring him back and put some of the injured guys on IR.
I figure at 33 and a specialist besides, it's less likely anyone puts in a claim on him than someone like, say Diyral Briggs. Thoughts?

Brian Jennings is the Peyton Manning of long-snappers. You don't cut the best in the league at their position.
