"Everything little thing, is going to be alright."
Take it from my man Bob Marley, now is not the time to be stressing over the state of our franchise. Just take a look at the facts:
We had the best divisional record last year.
We swept the only competition, the Cardinals.
We posted our best record in seven seasons.
We competed with some of the league's best, Minnesota, Indy, Green Bay...
We finally got decent play from our QB and their is no controversy this year.
We have more offensive weapons than we've had since Jerry Rice was in his prime.
We have continuity.
We have an easy upcoming schedule.
We have a 'Top 10 Defense'.
We have the best LB in the league.
Jerry Rice is in the Hall of Fame!
We have a head coach that is helping turn our young players into contributors and our beloved 49ers into an actual "team".
And we have even more that should be mentioned.
So what is with all the belly-aching? Are you worrying over any of the following:
Alex Smith threw a wobbly ball in practice?
Our starting center might miss two or three weeks of the regular season?
Ahmad Brooks is going to be out of practice for another week?
Jimmy Raye isn't cute enough for you?
Someone might get a hangnail from the nutcracker drill?
Honestly, compare this offseason's disappointments with last season's. Have you forgotten already? If so, let me remind you of what things looked like a year ago. Shaun Hill was our starting QB, we had yet another new OC, Michael Crabtree looked like he might miss the entire season, Patrick Willis was hurt, and on and on and on.
Folks, rest assured, we're on much better ground as of today than we were a year ago. We are not only heavy favorites to win the division, we're very close to being a complete football team that can deliver in all three critical aspects of the game and make a run at the Superbowl.
If you're still panicking, I urge you to relax and think things over. Yes, bad news stinks, but remember, this is football, and bad news comes with the territory. There will always be injuries. There will always be letdowns. But as 49er fans, we should be well aware that the letdowns are becoming more and more rare. This isn't 2004 anymore. We've turned the corner. We're a better football team and that is evidenced by the fact that our rookies are in camp and contributing in major ways right now. That hasn't happened for awhile, and not on this level. As fans, we can feel confident in our team, injured center and all.
PS If Heitmann being out is causing you concern, adjust your perspective. This can simply be viewed as an opportunity for other men on the team to step up and make a positive impact. It sounds like Baas and Wragge both understand that and are making the most of the opportunity. You never know, this could work out to be a net positive for the team. Both players are younger, and both are stronger... and if I'm not mistaken, those characteristics fit into our new team philosophy.

i'm not worried, there was no gurantee heitmann was gonna be awesome, our o-line has been brutal with him out there (not saying its his fault) so even if he wicked at these line calls or whatever it wasnt exactly helping us, just keep in mind we didnt lose a pro bowler
