I agree with a lot of you in that, as long as he isn't hurting others or himself, go ahead and do whatever you please.

But a high-profile individual (and one who is allegedly a team leader) plays the fool when allowing himself to be photographed in such compromising positions. You just set yourself up for a S#@T storm of potential problems and public consternation.

I'm sure that the pious Coach Singletary will be less than enamored with these provocative pix of one of his captains. You just have to be smarter than this. Doesn't reflect well on him or the franchise.

He's made such strides in the maturity department in the last couple of years, that I have to wonder if this is really the type of situation that a guy looking for mega-bucks ought to be putting himself in. I am all for athletes having lives and fun away from the field, but you can bet that every last person on this board would be singing a different tune if there were suddenly "rape" allegations. I love the player that Vernon has become, but I would hate to see him be put in a position where he had to defend why he was partying with a half-naked stripper. Learn from Roethlisberger guys!
