Nutrackers underway. Two early winners: RJF and Khalif Mitchell, a couple of interior dlinemen. Mitchell defeated A. Davis to wrap up drill.

MaioccoCSN

49ers nutcracker ends: David Baas did good work; Kentwan Balmer ... not so impressive with three early jumps in a row.

Differences this year: centers had to snap the ball before going up against opponent. Fullbacks and ILBs got a running (two step) start.

First contact for the rookie....cant win everything

Mike Iupati handles himself well, though the guards were pitted against LBs and had a decided weight advantage.

MaioccoCSN

NaVorro Bowman struggled first against Caulcrick, then got swallowed by Iupati.

yeah but what the hell is a khalif mitchell?

A couple of the lighter guys -- Cody Wallace and LB Keaton Kristick -- did not fare well. But Patrick Willis didn't either. Not his game.

Don't see any casualities from the drill. Everyone came out unscaithed, it appears.

MaioccoCSN

Parys Haralson tossed down Delanie Walker, then got tossed by Vernon Davis. Players were instructed to stay on feet.

He looked pretty good at NT in preseason last year. He showed a very good ability to push the pocket.

Back to Davis, he's a 20 year old kid going against a vet....nothing to worry about.

Yes he did, which leaves me clueless as to why they made RJF a NT.
MaioccoCSN

ILBs were up against guards, so those guys - Willis included - didn't fare so well with size disadvantage.
