sorry buddy this is the 49ers rookies signings thread

No s**t... I just posted those here so it may probably give us an idea on who'll sign next. And i don't think starting a thread about other teams rookie signings is worthy, so why not just post them here?

Clausen signed today. He was one slot ahead of Mays so that should help out.

Not sure, the Clausen deal could complicate things. He was given a big 4th yr escalator of 2.85mm, which could bring the total deal to $6.3 mm. This had 2.5 mm guaranteed. Clausen was 48th overall.

I read on PFT that 2nd round picks never get escalators, even QBs.

The next deal signed was number 45, 4yrs, $4.2 mm max, $2.53 guaranteed.

I think SF can figure out the guaranteed amounts, but total deal could be complicated. I would love to see what Arenas got paid at #50

*high fives* You nailed it DDR! The entire slotting-activity within the NFL is actually very important to us right now!

Now onto some bad news...

According to a reliable source at the Florida Times, writer Vito Stellino has tweeted that the Jags are apparently going to wait until some of the other players within top ten draft slots have signed before the Jags even start negotiating with Alualu.

This could be bad for us attempting to bring Anthony Davis into camp on time; if they remain in that holding pattern (along with the other teams surrounding the '10' slot).

With the Rolando McClain signing, this should get the top 10 going.
they will sign

Clausen got paid the QB premium. It has nothing to do with what the Niners will offer Mays.
everyone is slow to sign because of the uncertainty of the next cba

Has McClain signed or agreed to terms? Or at least rumored to be close?

McClain is getting 40 mil with 23 gauranteed.
Hopefully we get at least 1 rookie signed by the end of the day

If I'm the 49ers I'd push for a 6 yr deal with A. Davis. I realize if they perform the contract will be renegotiated before it expires, but imagine Crabtree, Davis, and Iupati UFAs in the same year.
why does it seem that some of our rook's might not make it to the 1st day of camp??

we need mc hammer
