i posted this in another NT thread and im lazy so im not typing it over again.....

if he thinks hes getting the contract he wants from this team he's dreaming. he needs to sign his one year deal and go out there and bust his azz. at the end of the season he should thank the coaching staff for helping him get to a position as to where ply his trade on the open market from a supposed position of advantage. idk imho when NFL contract is resolved he should count himself lucky if they offer him a 3 year deal for say 10-15, after all when the dust settles he's gonna be a year older maybe a year less valuable. if they have to franchise him again then the front office has f**ked up.

Im glad yall at the GM. It doesnt matter who you sign 1st when you spend what you budget for that player. there is no way that Franklin contract will stop Vern's contract from being done. 2 separate players. and its been 1.5 seasons of good play from him. with a poss lockout everyone involved should want to be signed.
