The first half of the season could go one of two ways.... Really good.. or... Really Bad I know what a great observation! But seriously I think a lot is going to have to do with the play of the O-line and the play at QB..
Week 1: @Seattle- Not a gimmie by any stretch, but we are the more talented team. Should be a victory.
Week 2: Saints- We should come out pretty fired up! Home opener monday night......but the saints offense will probably be too much for us to match point for point with... Loss
Week 3: @Chiefs- Once again not a gimmie. Playing at arrowhead is tough. But we are the better team all around, should lead to a victory.
Week 4: @Falcons- Payback anyone?? Two evenly matched teams, this one can go either way... But my early instinct thinks Loss....
Week 5: Eagles- Dear god they too have whooped up on us in the past, but this year I believe they're taking a step back. Victory!
Week 6: Raiders- Victory...
Week 7: @Panthers- A game that I will be attending!! (live in SC (military)) Tough ground game but we should be able to contain the two headed monster and outscore them. Victory!
Week 8: Broncos- After getting rid of all their play makers... I see them in a mini rebuilding mode. Victory!
6-2 to start out! All this of course depends on what Smith will do this year... Crappy qb play can lead to a 4-4 start or worse.. Hoping for the best!

If it all go's well as your predictions , I can deal with that. It would be a great first half of the season!!!

We have done so bad in the first 8 games these last few years, it would be nice to finally start out strong and be in the positive late in the season...

Yea a fast start will be key to this season. We started out ok last season but the Vikings loss really sent our season into a tail-spin..

What a great way to start the season as this will be a much anticipated game with so much underlying current that lends to intrigue. On paper, we are the better squad, but players rise to the occasion. I honestly believe that our D will be too much for their fledgling LT and RBs to block. I see us going after Hasselcrack and he will be throwing picks.
Our offense will explode onto Seattle's scene with a vengeance! They don't have a pass rush and their run D will be suspect, IMO. Sure they have Thomas, but I'd like to see him deal with Vernon. The first time that peepsqueek tries to tackle him, Vernon is going to shed him like a hot knife through butter. I see our WRs spreading and allowing to offense to soften up the middle for a heavy dose of Frank and Co. in the second half.
We win soundly on this one.
Week 2: Saints- We should come out pretty fired up! Home opener monday night......but the saints offense will probably be too much for us to match point for point with... Loss
I look at the Saints like the Cards last year. A high power offense with an incredible QB and great tools at his disposal. The Saints also don't have as good a D as AZ, 20 VS 25 ranked. Remember what happened to Warner and friends? We kicked their butts on D. This time our offense is much better in terms of consistency and weapons. Also our ST unit will be faster and better.
I expect us to shock the NFL and open a can of "Whoop ass" in front of the Nation! 2-0 baby!
Week 3: @Chiefs- Once again not a gimmie. Playing at arrowhead is tough. But we are the better team all around, should lead to a victory.
We have always played poorly at KC. This time I think they are still rebuilding and we should be able to control the LOS on both sides of the ball. I believe we will be pounding the rock more than normal with last year's 31st Run Defense.
Week 4: @Falcons- Payback anyone?? Two evenly matched teams, this one can go either way... But my early instinct thinks Loss....
I know these men have this one circled. There were so many head hung low after our loss to the Falcons at home. They want vindication and to have a chance at pay back on their turf. I expect this to be a close one with our ST unit giving us the win!
4-0 baby!
Week 5: Eagles- Dear god they too have whooped up on us in the past, but this year I believe they're taking a step back. Victory!
This is the one that scares me even without McNabb. Given we are 4-0 in my lil world, this would be a ripe time to let down. Or, they can surprise us and pull one out. This is a toss up. I say we lose with last min FG.
Week 6: Raiders- Victory...
I agree...5-1
Week 7: @Panthers- A game that I will be attending!! (live in SC (military)) Tough ground game but we should be able to contain the two headed monster and outscore them. Victory!
I think this squad will be in disarray. They don't have the pass rushers. They don't have a legit QB and receiver weapons. Their secondary is suspect, too. What they have is a very good run game. Oh, we have a very good run D. This is where we attack early and often with the spread and take over the clock with the run in the second half. This will be our best road game of the year, dominating. 6-1
Week 8: Broncos- After getting rid of all their play makers... I see them in a mini rebuilding mode. Victory!
Another team that is shifting and doesn't have consistency at key areas like WR and ST. I think we can get ahead of ourselves and let down here over seas. We have the better team, but we may lose this one. Still, we are better on paper. It's a toss up, but we squeak out a win with a FG.
6-2 to start out! All this of course depends on what Smith will do this year... Crappy qb play can lead to a 4-4 start or worse.. Hoping for the best!
For me, I can see a 7-1 start! . The Falcons, Eagles and oddly enough the Broncos could gives us the worse problems. I am very confident about the Saints game, I really am.
Best 7-1 worse 5-3...
Eh, it's the offseason...

Really, 4-4 with our schedule remaining would still be good. We'd have our division games to beat up on the Rams, Seahawks, and Cardinals.
Until we beat the Eagles, I still think they have the psychological edge. I really want a win in ATL tho. Damn that game still hurts

The Saints are entirely beatable.. by any team. They gave up massive leads to random teams in half their games just to explode in the second half and win. If its a close game we stand a good chance of winning, but if we get a first half lead.... we could be in trouble. They will start spreading the field and their 3rd and 4th receivers are too good for most teams 3rd & 4th cb's to cover with how well Brees spreads the ball around.

Good post. Overall I agree with it. I feel the Eagles game will be a decisive game for us and maybe a turning point for the team. If the Eagles come in with a winning record and if we win, it will give our guys lots of confidence and they'll play at a higher level.
